Golden Eyed High/Blood Elf Options Datamined

It won't happen, especially since they would look almost identical to blood elves and Alliance already have Void elves which are bluish Blood elves with tentacle porn haircuts.

The chances decrease with each update, and they were vanishingly small to begin with.

Not only were Void Elves introduced just to give the Alliance the model without giving them a clone of a core Horde race, but now we see that any thoughts that alliance high elves are 'purer' than Blood Elves have been dispelled. An impure race would not go around sporting golden eyes reflecting the holy energy pumping through their veins.

The green eyes are a legacy of an old mistake in other words, and not representative of the race as it is now or will be in the future.

I'd love to see these golden options made available to players, even if I intend to keep the green tint myself. I'm Irish, green is a favorite colour.

Even if they are NPC only, it still has the same effect on lore by proving the green eyes, and by proxy the taint, are no longer a definitive feature of being a Blood Elf.

Welp looks like I'm stuck Horde or maybe quitting this is quite a harsh blow for me personally... waited so long but I can see it now the Alliance just got stuck with the shit purple elves, I don't know I've played wow since launch this kinda hurt my feelings as I've always been hugely into the High Elves of the Alliance since WC2.

You do know your avatar's character is the main leader of the void elves, and the one that saved them and brought them into the alliance, don't you? Sooner or later she might become a void elf as well...

That doesn't mean that high elves won't ever be playable though.

I'd say the majority of the Blood Elves will remain green eyed for now. Most Blood Elves don't deal with magic beyond getting their fix from the Sunwell. Over time, the Sunwell should convert the eye colour of the majority to be golden (maybe in the period of time that follows WoW and leads into whatever the franchiser offers next. ).

Golden eyes will probably be seen mostly on Priests and Paladins and hopefully any player who wishes to use it. But the taint IS fading, though I imagine we will always have green eyed Blood Elves in one form or another.

I thought of that. Orcs aren't addicted to magic though, nor do they have something equivalent to the Sunwell pumping holy energy through them constantly.

Think of it as that the Blood Elves are on a long term detox program that is just starting to have an effect on some individuals.

Looks lovely. Might only be an option for priests and paladins, but lore-wise it should be available for everyone except warlocks and DHs.

I've returned to the Horde, I think this after 12 years of campaigning truly shows the Alliance will only get the Void Elves, I just cant play a purple skinned elf sadly so yeah... For the Horde!

That's what I was assuming as well. And by Paladins and Priest, you mean just Paladins. Priests aren't cool enough to get their own mounts like Pallies, so they aren't cool enough to get piss-colored eyes.

Actually, this looks like a great customization option for blood elves (assuming it's not an NPC thing). I hope all races get dramatic improvements to customization over time.

Well this is good, that means we are probably getting more customization to the old races. Maybe an eye option like Turalyon's for Human and Dwarf paladins? Or maybe a night elf with a clean shave that actually decided to keep his eyebrows...
