So basically you want anyone who disagrees with the direction of the game to stop posting? How about no.

Are you really so dumb that you think this thread is about losing gear?

You're missing the point by the width of the Atlantic Ocean. It has nothing to do with losing power level or gear resets. Those are givens, and they've been staples in place since TBC hit. Very few people don't accept this.

This is about losing abilities that form a fairly core part of the rotation or spec feel from Legion, and on top of that, many which were part of our artifact are now needing to be earned through grinding AGAIN. This makes no sense, just feels like "K, sub for longer, thanks", with very little else by way of reasoning.

That's ... The most retarded thread I've read in a long time.
It's like whining that your top tier raid stuff is not top tier anymore when the extension is out.

Have you missed the memo? WoW is about grinding power, and it comes with a reset at each extension, for more than 10 years now!

Oh look, another idiot who thinks this is about gear.

They reset gear, not spells and abilities. Yes some stuff would be changed for balancing, but it wasn't until recently that we lose more than we gain every expansion. In BC and LK, EVERY class got a new spell or two, in addition to two more tiers of talents for every spec. We're mostly just losing stuff in comparison, and we've never needed to grind out our passives or abilities before, they were just talent points. Legion started this system and TBH, it's fake progression.

We're losing traits, legendaries, and tier for a shitty NLC system. No extra talent point or anything new for actually leveling (the original reason that leveling was exciting, now it's just a means for gating people before getting to end-game). Stuff that you used to get is now locked behind shitty time-gates that eventually just get taken down anyways as a means to "catch up". It's almost like they even know that grinding azerite ISN'T meaningful content if they're going to let returning players just skip the whole process...

Still wondering why I play this game.
I'm a Rogue and I also made a spreadsheet for the Order Hall that is updated for BfA.

Well, they're not going to change the entire design direction, so they're really just wasting their time.

Ho look, another idiot who don't know how to read. I said "it's like", it's called drawing a parallel, do you understand that, or are you too dense for that kind of stuff?

The point is that, as I said, the game is about grinding POWER, OF COURSE you are not going to keep the full endgame power of a previous extension when the next one is released, that would just increase exponentially the complexity and difficulty of balance the game if we were just stacking buff over buff over buff.

[QUOTE=Polarthief;49184405]They reset gear, not spells and abilities. /QUOTE]
Excuse you, have you heard of talent "rework" and "ability pruning" between extension?

No matter the topic, someone will find a way to redirect it to complain about their current aggro.

It doesn't matter at all. You're still going to play, you're still going to press keys to slay dragons, and most of all you're still going to pay money doing it. If your response to this is "that doesn't excuse them from being lazy" then you must be unsubbing and playing a different game instead right?

Also no they cant just increase spells every single expansion or we would have about 150 spells by now.
Do your D&D charecters every half a second need to decide out of their 150 spells to use next? tell me how many spells your spellcasters can use in D&D
Depends, which spellcaster we going with and which setting? You're classic Wizard at 20th level gets 22 Spell slots in total (plus 2 additional spells which you mastered and don't take up a spell slot), technically a wizard can know about 150 spells but they can only USE the ones in their spell slots that they prepare each day.

Now your Sorcerer (yes those are different things in DnD) knows a lot less than your Wizard but they don't require a spell book, they simply get spell slots they can fill (again way less spell slots than a Wizard) and those are the spells they can cast (IIRC you pick them on level up and thats it, the sorcerer has a much harder time swapping out spells than a Wizard). Your Sorcerer is more like your WoW Mage.

Then there is prestige classes and jesus christ I'm not getting into that mess...

This is just hyperbole. Maybe you should go play some hardcore Korean MMO or something and leave WoW to us "plebs".

Also "MMO's to stay alive must make sure players keep playing to survive next story, the sun is hot, this is channel 4 obvious news, and see you tomorrow"
The difference is, this time we actually get weaker and lose many mechanics and talents that made many of the classes playable to begin with. I think nobody would compare how well a full Artifact character plays in comparison to a Pre-Artifact Character. Making all the talents baseline would also have solved the problem that we get no talents during leveling.

I mean, you know in all the other cases you threw away your Black Temple or Mythic Epics because a blue or green from the new expansion was better. So you didn't became weaker.

That and they do produce free content for us every few months, and our money helps pay for that, and to keep the servers up, keeping up servers for alot of people, and holding the data of millions of players. it all adds up, and they are a company, a buisness they need to make money so holy fuck they charge you money each month to play ooooh boi.

Any IT specialist would tell you that information is bits and bytes. Utterly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, even in the millions.

The amount of money Blizzard rakes in from subscriptions alone easily covers their server 'upkeep' and employee salary. Everything else is pure profit from an investment standpoint.

You are familiar with the term cash cow, right?

Until they get their shit right, yeah.
There is absolutely no basis for individual rights to firearms or self defense under any contextual interpretation of the second amendment of the United States Constitution. It defines clearly a militia of which is regulated of the people and arms, for the expressed purpose of protection of the free state. Unwillingness to take in even the most basic and whole context of these laws is exactly the road to anarchy.

earned it in a system that is going away.... good job.

at least the devs didn't decide to toss it in the scrap heap and went ahead to try working it into something for the future
