Question Looking for a cheap GPU that can run games at 1440p

I broke my GTX 1080 and need a new GPU, but my budget is very limited, 250€ absolute maximum. The new GPU would have to last at least two years.

Games I play are World of Warcraft (obviously), PUBG, CSGO and the Total War series (would like it to run Three Kindoms when it comes out). I don't really care about the graphics settings apart from draw distance, as long as it runs at native res (1440p) and stable 60fps.

What's the best one at this price range? I've been looking at the GTX 1050 Ti in particular, is there an alternative from AMD that runs better?

If you want to know the prices here, you can check amazon.de and mindfactory.de

For 1440p i would not go under a gtx 1060 6GB. The gtx 1050 ti is to weak for 1440p

The gtx 1050 ti is a really good 1080p card, but not for 1440p

I run a 27" 1440p 165Hz screen and i changed my gtx 1070 to a gtx 1080, because the 1070 was struggling with newer games and getting over 100Hz

The 1060 6GB should not have any problems in getting 60Hz in 1440p if you lower some settings

When you have limited budget you can't be picky. There is no card that runs wow at 60fps stable, since it's CPU issue with maintaining FPS in WoW.
Just buy the best you can with your budget, which is either 1050 ti or 560, really bad time to be buying a GPU right now :/ if you can, you should wait for new nvidia releases.
    PM me weird stuff :3

Yeah, I know that. Unfortunately my GPU broke and integrated isn't an option

I have a recent i7. Does that mean wow will run fine on any modern GPU?

'fine' on average, raids are more CPU dependant
what happened to your 1080? perhaps it's still under warranty?

As said before. The gtx 1050 ti is not a 1440p card, so to get decent fps in WOW you will have to lower all details to the lowest. Lowest card to get decent fps is a gtx 1060 6 GB

    gtx 1050 ti = 1080p decent fps
    gtx 1060 3 GB = 1080p decent fps
    gtx 1060 6 GB = 1080p high fps/low to decent fps 1440p
gtx 1070 = 1080p high fps/1440p decent fps and sometimes high fps
    gtx 1080 = 1440p decent to high fps/low 4K
    gtx 1080 ti = 1440p high fps/decent fps 4K

No, it's physically broken. Dropped my computer while transporting it

Yeah I've been looking at my options and I think the most sensible one is to just to try to find a 6GB 1060 used

Is the PCB broken, like the actual video card? If the cooler is broken that is easily fixed by an aftermarket model or a kraken g12+aio.

I have a very old Radeon 5770 and I get decent FPS on 1920x1200 resolution on preset 4-5 (60+ fps indoors or old zones, 30-40 fps in Legion content, 25-35fps in raids). I feel like you're underselling the 1050 and 1060 a bit here...
