Yeah but Hayward's injury is legit, and Boston is the overwhelming favorite to win the series.

Kawhi's injury is questionable, at best. Honestly, I felt at least some sympathy for Derek Rose back then because he was injury prone and his injury was legit, but he still made an effort to play. But he was totally up front about it. Kawhi isn't even speaking to the media or being a good teammate, he's telling his "group" to speak with the Spurs organization, and the fans have to hear it like that. It's scummy.

    Scottie Pippen thinks so too.

As posted by ESPN, Pippen blasted Leonard’s absence from the team. The former six-time champion said in part:

“I think it is something. It’s been going on for a while. He’s really showing that he’s not part of the team anymore. And I think it’s probably starting to filter down through the whole team.

His teammates are starting to, you know, feel let down by him. So they probably don’t want him on the bench. I wouldn’t want a guy on a bench that should be playing, can play, and he’s having these problems with management.”

Pippen added that this is the first time that he’s seen a star player evading responsibilities of carrying his team:

“I’ve never seen a super star player not want to carry his team. It’s like he’s lost his love for the game”

All right, I have pizza in me, time to watch Paul George not miss shots and Utah disappoint again.

Another great start by Utah, though, this happened last game.

Sad news from the Spurs, Poppvich’s wife passed away.

Yeah, I hope he takes time to deal with this. Not like GSW is going to let them get back in this series anyway. Step away, take the time.

Cleveland just won, but it took everything they had to win this game. That doesn't bode well when you have to go to Indy for 2 games now. I'm starting to think the Cavs are cooked.

Derrick Favors is carrying the Jazz right now, and it's still close. Adams in foul trouble is the only thing making it as easy as it has been. Donovan has been non-existent, and Ingles has scored like twice in two games.

That series should go 7, even if they make it through, they will be gassed. The reality is that they don't stand a chance at going far. Boston has been a surprise considering their injuries, but a well coached team can succeed in the NBA. Washington looks like they will get swept or eliminated in 5, meaning the Raptors will be plenty rested for round two.

Yes to both things. Spurs are gonna lose so he can take his time.

And God Lebron dropped 46 and Cleveland struggled to win by 3. I think Cleveland gets bounced in the second round...

Donovan turned it on in the fourth quarter, and just held on to tie the series up. Still though. Joe Ingles just stands in the corner on offense and does nothing. Rubio, though, was draining threes, which is not what he usually does. Dunno how this game would have gone though if Adams didn't spend the whole game in foul trouble (and eventually foul out).

Can't help but feel bad about that win. Refs seemed to really hate Adams for some reason...

Aw, crap, I totally forgot to get in for playoff predictions.

    - - - Updated - - -

Just for the heck of it, I would have guessed:

    Rockets in 4
    Thunder in 5
    Blazers in 6
    Warriors in 5

    Raptors in 6
    Cavs in 5
    Sixers in 6
    Celtics in 6

But I already feel like my choices would have been crap. Thunder, Blazers, and Cavs all look like not-so-good choices at the moment.

Pop out for game 3. Hope he'll be ok, but from experience when somene's sick for a long time, you've typically had a lot of time to come to somewhat accept it.

This Philly-Heat game is pretty ugly so far. Neither team in much of any offensive flow. Heat looking especially like once their first look out of a set isn;t there that they kind of give up and try a bad drive or an ill advized long jumper.

    - - - Updated - - -

And just as I post that Philly goes on a mini-run with some good passing and accurate 3's. lol

It would be sick of NOP goes up 3-0 over Portland tonight. I kinda wanna watch that tonight.

SAS vs. GSW isn't really worth watching.

Apparently neither is the Pelicans-Blazers game, cause Pelicans up nearly 20 at the half. Did not expect them to be THIS much better.

I expected a close series, not a blowout. This has been a weird season of basketball.

  19. #599
Btw Phaelix I added your predictions to the spreadsheet for record keeping, but obviously we can't grade you since you were late. Your picks look obviously...not like someone who watched the first week of the playoffs, but ehhh.

(I didn't send out PMs this year because I figured it'd be nicer if everyone who predicted was actually following this thread and basketball, as opposed to people who make predictions for the sake of it. Kukukuku.)

And yeah, NOP is banging. Looks like they're going to face GSW.

Watched the third quarter. Blazers are a different team. Down 21, they're imploding.

Hey, 1-1 and Utah won on the road, so hold yer horses.
