What Would Make You Never Burnout?

What type of content would make you never burnout? Or at least "hard to".
Some of you might not know the answer to this but other might know.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For me it would be even the slightest of motivation/reward to do World PvP.
I dont need much, just a daily quest or a faction of World PvP that would reward you daily.
Please dont make the ultimate goal a "mount" like in Legion's Talon's Vengeance faction and for the love of god don't lock it behind PET BATTLES

I've spent several monthly subscription only doing World PvP without any kind of reward.
But since a patch ended world pvp in major cities i've stopped for good.

So my dream expansion would be:
-PvP gear from battlegrounds rewards you the best gear possible for World PvP
-A World PvP faction that rewards you daily
    -Daily World PvP incentives/Events

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I dont think many people know the answer to this question...but i'm always proven wrong, so you might know

You make the question.. yet the answer is there to obtain? How do we know? What do you think? I fear you lack depth... the better questions are the case of should we or could we? We do not know.

Legion's class and profession-specific questlines were a brilliant move. I have never leveled so many alts, and with the level scaling, I'm actually enjoying it. It gives me something to look forward to with each alt, which has been just swell. The fact that I can linger in the zones I love and skip the zones I hate makes leveling much, much, much less of a chore.

That and, as much as some people didn't like it, the time locking blizzard did in Legion pushed me to search for other things to do in the meantime, making this also the expansion where I've done the widest breadth of content as opposed to not even knowing most of it existed. I'd be waiting on a mission table and go "well I guess I never did the brawler's guild..."

We're coming up on the next expansion and I'm somehow still not burnt out. I've got an alt to level and rank 3 prestige to get still, which I'm taking my time with. If I'm not burnt out by BFA's full launch, it will be the first expansion in wow's history where that's happened.

    Never burnout?

Roguelike Dungeons. Normal, Heroic, Mythic, Mythic + difficulties. Dynamically generated like the islands are. 5 players. Loot on the curve we had for Legion dungeons.
    FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)

Give all content a solo version or allow the rental of personal solo private servers.

Just add more world bosses with 1/2000 mount drop rate. I still have 4 out of 5 to get and I'm not going anywhere before I succeed :P

Randomly generated shit. Island expeditions is a step in that direction, but it doesn't have enough possibilities, which means we will see the same scenario very often

A WoW equivalent of the SC2 Map Editor and Arcade would be good.

    Classes that actually have depth.

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don’t have one, you’ll probably never need one again.

I think for me its always better if you have a lot of friends playing with you I find it hard to burnout when I have friends playing with me.

A game designed for the 99% (casual gamers) rather than the 1% (organized raiders.)

Ah the eternal question. Its an interesting topic that i've thought about making a thread about a long time ago.

"Should the game be designed for the majority? Or for the intended target market?"

    Something like that

I go with this, I've not encounter much of anything that I haven't suffered burn out of it.

Give me large zones to explore. Diverse habitats is a plus.
Well designed armor sets and weapons to obtain. Focus more on stylised designs than overly detailed messes.
Cool and amazing mounts, recolors are fine as long as the colors are vibrant and diverse.
Non-linear questing with a few huge questlines to drive the story. MoP and Legion did this well, Legion just failed with having so few zones.
More music akin to the Vanilla-Wotlk era with more ambient tracks. Music you can listen to on repeat without getting tired.

These are literally the reasons I play the game and has kept me playing since late Vanilla, but add more of it and you will never see me leave.

Also, give me back MoP style class design with focus on simplicity and movability. I need my MoP BM hunter back.
And non-randomized stats on gear. That shit should never have been added to the game. One of the reasons I feel burnout just thinking of getting into raiding again.

Nice try, Blizzard Entertainment player retention specialist!

The current state of artifact skins. Something that takes effort, but a reasonable amount for anyone.

Long, tedious grinds like the ap at the start Ruined it for me. Its the first expansion I have Ever sat out for. The reason being that every time I turned around, my ms would be crap compared to my os. If I wanted to maintain my spot in my raiding guild, I had to change. The grind made even an OS difficult to achieve.

Things that are nice and show the effort are generally what I like to go for.

Playing with friends and limiting playtime is for sure the smartest way to prevent burnout. The content hardly matters in a multiplayer game.

It is also not bad if you identify the social traps in game. Many guilds died out in the last 2 expansions and now we got "progressoriented raiding guilds", basicly hollow raid groups with minimal social interactions and loose rectruiting - high amount of toxic players without any guild etiquette. Legion did a great job with this raid groups, since the difficulty in raiding got higher, many just disbanded after each content or even mid content. With such a great filter tag and statistic pages like wowprogress, you can filter them out pretty fast.

There is but one answer to that question, an ever evolving unpredictable world ( quite similar to real life), it is the only real "never burnout" solution, but since we are unable to create that ( yet ) I'm afraid there is no way to avoid a burnout.

A Dev team that was willing to evolve the game and add daring new features, rather than play it safe.
PvP that was waged over REAL "outdoor" persistent world territory with lasting consequences.
A boat. Like I'm actually sailing a ship, running into others. Fighting off pirates and navigating the seas.

    To put it another way:
If the Blizzard Dev team would be willing to grow sandbox elements and honor the genre of Massively Multiplayer.
