And that's why I said they would just have to copy FFXIV's system.

I dont really know what that entails. I have a ps4. I guess if it actually comes to ps4 i might give it a try. Downside being it costs more per month because fif PS+. Most likely the connection is going to be shit aswell. You can forget about high end m+ on a ps4 thats for damn sure.

Won't happen, and FFXIV is proof of this. They want to put their game on Xbox but Sony won't allow Xbox and Playstation players on the same server. It's a misconception that it's Microsoft blocking it, because it isn't.

So if it even did come to Console, it would be going on both Xbox & Playstation, I highly doubt Blizzard would compromise and only have it on one - Heck, maybe Blizzard is the company that could force Sony's hand.

The other problem however is addons, and this would be the real block to putting the game on consoles because the game is designed with you having them (E.g raids).

    No it wouldn't.

Games that are free (FortNight as a example) and games that have a sub (FFXIV) do not require a PS+ sub. FFXIV has high end dungeons/raids that is comparable to Mythic's in WoW, So it can be done.

That's funny because Square Enix (Who owns FFXIV) says different. Don't drink the Phil Spencer kool aid, The reason Xbox and Playstation doesn't cross-play is because Xbox wants it on there servers with a Opt Out option. It would work the same way FFXIV does for PS4/PC (and did with PS3 until that version was shutdown).

I also wouldn't put it past Blizzard making it PS4 exclusive (if it happen at all) because PS4 does have a 80 million unit install base.

Ah right i didnt know that games with subs wherent under the PS+ thing. Just because FFXIV has high end PvE doesnt mean its comparable to wow. THere is a reason you ahve to seperate these things. Like rocket league for example. Just a little bit of imput lagg makes a large difference in these games.

By comparable I mean difficulty/skill level. As long as blizzard doesn't actually rush it there would be no issues like latency.

Many of the people in my FFXIV guild bounce between their PC and PS4 depending on how they feel at the current moment since PC and PS4 crossplay. The Top tier Riads in FFXIV are very comparable to WoW and are done with both Controller and KB/M. The difference in latency is negligible since they use the same exact servers.

The problem isnt only different in latency. Its actual input lag of the controller. Since cordless is shit in general because it gets interference from a host if different shit like routers, radioes, cellphones and so on. I dont know FFXIV so i cant argue against or for its endgame being comparable to wows in difficulty but i doubt it.

    Edit:

Just wanna add. I dont feel this in offline games or when playing fifa offline. But when online the input lag and latensy combined is very noticable

Your not going to notice a difference in a hotkey MMO between KB&M/Controller when it comes to latency...

As for the raids being comparable.

And that's being done on a PS4 using a controller. You can also swap to KB&M on ps4 as well. That's just one of many raid bosses.

Watched the first 5 minutes(i'm at work). So i see very notable differences from wow raids to this boss.

    1. There was little to no movement. In the t minutes i watched i think the guy we followed had to move 2 times.
    2. His camera didnt need to be moved at all. He changed angle once or so to account for the flying gargoyle.
    3. THere was no target switching.

If this changes or this fight is not a good representation then thats fiar, but fro mwhat i saw its not comparable

    Edit.

As for whats actually happening during the fight its hard for me to see since i dont know the spell effects. I dont know whats player stuff and whats boss stuff. It looks like they are pretty much clumped together most of the time and then once in a while the raid takes some damage thats instantly healed. THe difficulty of mythic raiding isnt there for me. Unless i am missing something

This may be a better example

But trust me its there, Just like raiding in WoW some fights are easier than others. This is a tank playing on PS4 by the way.

To add unlike WoW the raids have a time limit when your in them, If u don't clear by the time the timer is up then you fail the run. The dungeons have the same system as well.

FFXIV has a 2.5sec GCD as well. Also never heard anyone in my guild complain about controller input lag on their PS4's. The difficulty is actually pretty comparable to WoW. The "hardest" boss in comparable to some Mythic bosses. Not quite M Coven/Argus/Agg level though

Pretty sure most consoles surpass wows minimum requirements bu a decent amount

Depends on the bosses, some in FF14 I've dodged and danced around bosses more than I ever have in WoW.

The true problem is the input and UI.
WoW is made for mouse + keyboard, and it would be a nightmare to adapt it for a controller. Not even saying it can't be done, but I doubt it.
    Consoleport man look it up

If anything I see them adopting a cross hotbar system akin to FF14 if the current GCD changes go through.
Honestly my suggestion would be for them to hire munkdev who made consoleport bam over half the work done
