Someone's working on a "Classic forums" project, please show this to the classic team

    There it is:

    https://classicwowforums.com/

To be honest, I don't have anything against the current blizzard forums (let's be honest, they're quit good overall), but I think that it would be very interesting to be able to use the old forum again when classic wow comes out.

Yeah, sorry but that cease and desist request would be coming through fast. And I doubt they would want fans to make an official looking forum. It basically just looks ripped from an old cache.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

Once upon a time, a fellow Steam forum member and I ripped the look of the old, old Steam forums (olive green, etc.)

Just for fun, and as a sort of reverse engineering exercise.

It was maybe two weeks before one of us heard something from Valve.

I love the look of the old WoW forums, but this is they type of thing that should never be made public.

The work done by the developer, and the spirit of the project are both great however.

It is unlikely, but Blizzard may very well grant them the ability to operate as they are.

    Cease and desist in 4...3...2...
They always told me I would miss my family... but I never miss from close range.

Man people really want to live in the past don't they.

Pretty cool though, shame it won't be online for very long.

Nostalgia is a powerful feeling, and next to hate, a perennial motivator.

To be honest, Valve can't be compared with much business, they want to be strict but at their own selection and pace.

Damn, that brings back some memories...

Am I the only one that thinks old style forums (I'm including MMO Champ in this) look better than their more modernized counterparts? They seem to get so much more on the monitor, while every modern forum seems to be optimized for tablet/phone displays rather than the PC (which I understand, but it just sucks as a PC user).

This looks interesting to have, if Blizzard does it.

    Entertainment =/= Science

    Science can only move forward

    Entertainment is a mess.

The first "movie" is almost always the better one.
By your logic the third movie of a franchise is always better than the first one...

There is no "moving forward" in entertainment. Entertainment is a creation from imagination and art.

Yes, the first movie of a franchise is always the worst one.

The sequels are always the best ones.

I know you're trying to sound smart but.. you really need to get your head out of your delusional ass and stop talking nonsense man.

It was a joke, get over it.

Also this new theory about movies you've concocted is utter nonsense.

Ah the beauty of not having a counter argument.

    Priceless

WoW is a videogame. Is entertainment. Is art.
The sequels in the entertainment business are not always better than the originals.

Infinity War was the best marvel movie i have ever seen. one of the few worth seeing

    But you understand right?

In entertainment and art the "new" is not always the best job you have done.
In videogames also. Like the new Sonic games /barf

An illustrator is the same. Your most recent drawing can be worse than one you have done 1 month before.

Only sciense always moves forward and never backwards.
