I used to use KrazyK923. I took a long break after I saw myself becoming far too toxic and caring what people were saying on this website. As such, when I first left, I randomized my log-in info so I couldn't get back into the account to post.
I made a new one with the name I actually use on my Youtube channel in case I wanted to ever advertise that stuff here again, although I don't think I ultimately will. I dont have much desire to go back to KrazyK923.
I understand plenty. I get it, a great many of you liked the man... and there are a few that loathe the man... Those that loathe the man are as entitled to their opinion as those that liked him, and they are just as entitled to share that opinion, whether YOU like it or not.
If you dont like a post, you report it and move on. As far as moderation, if you dont like how the moderators do their jobs then you take it up with a global. You dont post a thread and try and shit all over the moderators.

Well I didn't switch because I was banned or something, rather I wanted to distance myself from the hated associated with my account (Not from others because I dont really care much what people on this website think about most things, no offense, but for my own sanity), I just wanted to make a new account.
Anyhow this is driving the thread off topic. It's disappointing that the third thread is quickly becoming filled with the same toxicity as the other one and there's not much being done about it.
There is a difference in just giving a opinion and praising the fact he died or saying shit like you want to beat up his family.
There is a line you don't cross because it then goes from a simple opinion to just being a asshole. The thread was about the man passing away, Not a time to shit on him and his family just because "you" don't like him.
There was shit said in that thread that many country's would lock your ass up for saying.

"MMOC forums let me keep my job again. Whew." -Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street
Except that isn't what is happening here. You can say, "I don't like this person" but people are gleefully celebrating his death, lying about him in some disgusting, "he deserved it" implication, and constantly bringing up the two tweets he sent to people telling them to get cancer while ignoring second half of the story, which was him publicly apologizing, the person accepting, and TB HIMSELF bringing it up multiple times after that in a "We all need to do better, including myself" sort of way.
Its petty oneupsmanship against a dead person. That's way worse than, "I didn't like this person."

xskarma basically said to me the other week when I asked why Shalcker is still allowed to post. After (laughably) threatening me, he said in so many words "what do you expect us to do?".
It was a bizarre response. But said a lot. I expect them to do their fucking jobs. That's what.
I expect the mods to deploy the tools that every forum in the last 25 years has had. IP Bans, IP matching, and ban every single alt account that pops up as quickly as they turn up.
But more than anything else, i expect them to be on top of it. If a guy makes 50 accounts a day for 50 days straight, I expect the mods to be mechanical in their reaction, not feeling like they can't win in such a scenario. Sure you can win. You just keep banning them.
Not to switch topics, but since this is about moderation... the fact that Shalcker is still able to participate after what he is, after what he has spent literally years doing - and enormous paper trail - is _the_ MMO-OT moderation scandal. Other forums cleaned up people like Shalcker years ago. But this special place? It has navel gazing mods who decide why that's too hard for them.
Here's a solution: ban the rule breaking cunts, and then ban them again and again and again, and then ban them forever. Because you can do that. Shocking, I know.

banning == less site traffic.
== less money

And the mods aren't doing anything.
Which is the point of the OP. I even like Edge-, but its particularly egregious when they came in with a warning in the first page and then there was nothing done about it after the rules they set out directly were being flagrantly broken.
The moderator reaction times are horrible to say the least. It usually takes them hours or days to react to simple reports. I've resorted to mention-tagging blues and online GenOT mods for blatant issues like that 'european peasants' guy. That works better. But normal reports don't work well nowadays. I also don't like moderators not being consistent with the infractions.
Flaming is an infractable offense, so every time someone calls another person an asshole, idiot, fucker, nazi, racist, faggot etc. it should be minor flaming, 5 points. Always. For every single post. No exceptions.
