    Rust is done.

I put in over 2500 hours into that game and if Fallout 76 is anywhere near as good, i’m a full convert.

Even on PC they are. Bethesda.net is integrated into FO4 and SkyrimSE same as on console. Sure the variety isn't as large as on Nexus, but it's still a one click-done free modding solution.

I really think the leak misplayed it; there may be SOME co-op potential, but I imagine it's "FO 4.5", like New Vegas was 3.5.

West Virginia is an odd location, in terms of draw, though, so I'm intrigued to find out what they're setting up; if it's not historical, then it's Fallout's unique setting that's the focus, something without an equivalent.
Let us hope that online aspect remains some very limited co-op, and the main focus is story, lore and world immersion.

West Virginia is a interesting location and the choice of vault offers great potential. Vault 76 was designed to house 500 people and was programmed to open to the wastes 20 years after a nuclear war. That would be a interesting time, nuclear war and all its effects still relatively fresh.

I wonder which factions can we expect?

With any luck....Enclave. They were really the only faction that existed that close to the war itself, as they actually existed....BEFORE the war.

They were missing completely in FO4....it's about time we see them again.

We may HEAR about the proto-Brotherhood of Steel, but they formed on the West Coast so SEEING them is unlikely.

Don't worry, bethesda proved that they don't really care about lore so thats not a problem.

Enclave in FO4 could not appear for they would be mostly destroyed, perhaps a few bastions remain across the America but very limited power.

Enclave were offshore on oil rigs, they avoided the nuclear war altogether more or less (which makes sense since they basically CREATED the war by manipulating the Chinese and American governments...as well as using Vault-Tec for their own nefarious means. Vault-Tec more or less WAS the Enclave. While no technically part of them, the Enclave was behind the Vaults.) So them showing up a mere 25 years after the war would make sense in Fallout76 as they start to come back to the mainland.

As for FO4, as you said there could still be bastions around and they could be rebuilding...they could have at least done SOMETHING even a single Enclave or former Enclave NPC would have been nice.

And? Have you played through Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4?

The Enclave is pretty much dead as faction, its main bases are destroyed and its leaders are dead.

    I was referring to FO76 not FO4.

They still could have done something with them in FO4. There could easily have been remnant factions of them scattered about.

Oh well, we could see them in F76, although I would prefer fresh new factions.

I agree, new factions would be nice.

I just miss Enclave and their amazing Power Armors. They had some of the better designed models, and hate having to use mods just to get them again.

Honestly, as cool as Power Armors are, I grow a bit tired of whole concept. They should introduce new factions, with different aesthetics and philosophy behind design. Milking BoS and Enclave is getting boring.

I just hope the quests are good. Fallout 4 failed in that department.

I guess I should have worded it better to something like "Faux retro". Like turning The Beach Boys "God Only Knows" from a Baroque pop song to an early 20th century barbershop quartet.

I can't find any updates, but it is the Fig Hotel if you want to Google for updates as the week goes.
