    It's an Absorb, that uses resources on a relatively low CD. It is comparable. Protip: Comparable =/= same.

    BrM Had Guard in WoD. They didn't in Legion (outside of PvP which isn't the discussion). VDH had Soul Barrier in Legion. Legion is literally an expansion later than WoD. hence the "no shit Sherlock" It was worded fine. stop being arrogant and just accept when you are wrong.

    I will the second you explain how an absord of literally 1/10th of the value is comparable to Guard.

    New talent: Guard (replacing Elusive Dance on L100). "Guard against future attacks, causing the next X damage you Stagger to instead be prevented." 30s cooldown.
    (The Guard Honor Talent will be renamed).

    If Guard becomes a meta talent I would rather have the option of having it AND DH or it AND lego ring then just it. Elusive Dance is a boring talent anyways(so is high tolerance, wouldn't mind seeing it get replaced either).

    i dont wanna lose combo this talent is way to much fun and healing elixirs is an afk talent anyway

    with the nerf to BoC and losing tiger palm trait, BoC is pretty much niche use as a stagger pause.

    The legendary ring talent with Elusive Dance could have been quite good though. Unless HT was needed for a fight it was quite good talent pick for once.

    It's interesting the lvl 100 row is getting a non-dps increasing talent when during legion they gave haste to HT with the reason it was the only talent without damage increase on the row.

    Guard doesn't really fit in the current monk design(which was clearly made with the idea of removing guard in the first place) , and bringing back a really conservative version of it like this one seems like a shy attempt to please people who begged to bring it back despite it being incompatible with having a really high stagger making absorbs way less valuable.
    Maybe I didn't understand your point about high stagger correctly, but it sounds like this iteration of Guard doesn't interact with our current stagger but instead reduces/absorbs additional/new stagger up to a certain amount. This makes it a damage reduction spell on a quite short CD, which (depending on tuning) could be really interesting.

    I liked and like guard. Its something, but as someone said earlier, its a 2x purify basically. I dont know about the rest but I would like an IP, Bulwark, Blood shield, spirit, frenzied rejuv - anything to where I can solo something, hell WW can solo better than my BrM. Guard shouldnt be a part of a stagger mechanic, just make it a bubble.

    maybe we should actually wait until they implement it this week to see what it is before we ask them to give us something else.

    also, frenzied regen is garbage now. not sure why you would want that.
