Happened already, at last in terms of theoretical/politic term: Neo-Liberalism. And again they are very short cut in terms where/how you use them. International relations has all theories for their own discipline, ironically with none of them really fitting over the last few decades (many loose ends). Do you really think it could be done democratically? I've kind of lost faith in that.

The Sanders/Corbyn campaigns made me rethink this, but I can't see how anything that doesn't have the blessings of the corporations could be successful, at least in the short term.

The modern aristocracy, the 1-5% elites who are truly Gods of modern era across our planet would be impossible to dislodge from places of power, primarily due to technology and state of art infrastructure designed to detect any possible opponent to modern aristocracy. Everyone can be tracked, even their actions can be predicted. For example, if you took Lenin, Mao, Tito, Ho Chi Minh, Castro, Che, Sankara and dropped them in 2018., they would be found and be sentenced to lifetime prison in less then 24 hours.

Actually I am unconvinced it will be technically possible to rise up. The power of technology to suppress may mean that "uprising" is functionally impossible. For the reasons you state, it is technically impossible and the means for total suppression are there.

The only effective rebellion would be something so cataclysmic that it would imperil the species survival.

Socialists are to communists as liberals are to anarchists.

I don't know what 100% liberalism is. I don't think "perfect liberalism" exists. Liberalism isn't an end all-be all phenomenon. I don't see why liberalism would need redefining.

I think the solution is obvious. If terrorists are sick of US power over them and US is sick of the power we have... Trump is just here to make everyone happy...

Oh, I've got Outlast 2 still sitting in Steam, so I'm covered. I could only play the first for like 30 minutes at a time for all the grinding I did with my teeth. I expect more of the same here.
