Although making this game in the vein of sidescrollers such as Castle Crashers, Scott Pilgrim's and the old Ninja Turtles games does sound like a better way than the original NES game.
The original was co-op with 2 players. There was even friendly fire, which made it hectic as fuck to play.

They really could've introduced a new battletoad or something to make it full 4-player, since 3-player co-op is a little weird, but whatever.

    But he's right.

Until we have more info "move over Cuphead" is an overstatement.

All we know is that it's happening. And to be honest with how Fallout 4 went I don't trust Bethesda with ES6 personally.

Fallout 76, Elder Scrolls 6, Starfield, Doom 2, Wolfenstein spinoff, Prey DLC, Rage 2

Ionly rented Battletoads and never beat the speederbike level even with Gamegenie for unlimited lives. Probably spent about 2 days trying to beat that level then had to return it

Found cover of all original game's tracks. Its sounds great - wish in new game music there will be enough guitar sound:

The original allowed for 2 player co-op. Although, "friendly fire" was also there so co-op often made the game even more difficult.

Well you know, Battletoads was released in 1991 on the Nintendo and Cuphead was released in 2017 on the PC. So you can't really compare. Games where very different at those times.

You should really do some research on the effects that lag due to sprite overload had on those old consoles. There's a reason that a ton of those old games are even harder than they were designed to be (which was already hard). Modern hardware running simple games like that at 60FPS is a completely different beast.

Also, mansplaining? Way to be a meme.
