Im pregnant vs. We're pregnant

In a literal sense, only the woman is pregnant.

In a figurative sense, she is saying "We're pregnant" because this is a situation that (should) impact both of them equally given that, you know, it's a team effort. But there's context missing here... I'm assuming it is a long term relationship and the pregnancy wasn't accidental.

Whenever I hear a woman say "we're pregnant", my thoughts quietly say "no YOU are pregnant"...

Of course I dont say this out loud to anyone but I wanted others take on this.

This reminds me of when I unexpectedly ran into a friend at the hospital.
The family was visiting my one grandmother who was in for .. something, I forget what.
He comes strollin' onto the elevator, blinks as he recognizes me.

Well as insignificant as this thread is, you gotta remember that someone made you and I know for certain that autism played a major factor in your conception. For you, I think the thread you're looking for is "It's pregnant"
