Flynn Fairwind = Disney character?

Watch the video. He is right. It sound like a lot of disney story's. With the same level off thought, story depth etc as a disney movie...meaning not at all.

Isabela is annoying at the beginning. Once you romance her and knows her better shes not so bad. I mean deep inside she had her logical reasons to be the way she was.

Flynn has (very light) elements of Jack Sparrow in speech, but a bit of Flynn Rider in personality, I guess. Though, Bwonsamdi has some elements similar to Dr. Facilier from the Princess and the Frog, in a way.

Thing is, though, we're going into an expansion with lots of nautical themes and voodoo themes. Of course there will be some references and similarities to a few Disney characters.

I haven't played through this particular quest line yet, so I can't say for sure where Blizz drew their inspiration. But, generally speaking, these types of characters with the name Flynn are usually a nod to the actor Errol Flynn. He was known for his swashbuckling roles including The Adventures of Robin Hood, which stood as the de facto big screen representation for 50 years until the remakes started circulating in the 80's.

The chances are high that both Blizzard and Disney are just tipping their hat to his legacy.

And I'm tipping my hat for you knowing this sir.

His drunken escort quest was a giant waste of my time. 15 min of him going the wrong way and circling the same point. It was cute at first but really annoying halfway through.

There is another one like an hour later with a little baby girl running to her father, and intentionally taking the circle route around the map that takes around 15 minutes.
