Man Holds Hoover Dam Hostage; Demands "Her Emails"

This is what happens when politicians push conspiracies form the highest levels. Eventually a poor rube is going to fall for it. And take measures into his own hands. If only authorities would monderate this kind of stuff.

An armed man blocked a highway near the Hoover Dam with an armored truck on Friday and demanded the release of the Justice Department's internal report on the Hillary Clinton email probe, which had already been released.

Man who blocked traffic on Hoover Dam bridge wanted release of government report

A man stopped his armored truck on the bridge near the Hoover Dam, blocking traffic for hours.
(CNN)The armed man who for more than an hour blocked a highway near the Hoover Dam with an armored truck and held a sign that said "Release the OIG report" is in an Arizona jail accused of several felonies, police said Saturday.

Matthew Phillip Wright, 30, of Henderson, Nevada, is accused of terrorist acts, unlawful flight from law enforcement, carrying a weapon in the commission of a felony and misconduct involving weapons. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of blocking a highway.
"Release the OIG report" apparently refers to the US Justice Department's internal watchdog report on the department's handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe. The 568-page report was released this week, leaving Wright's message unclear.

Police said Wright had a rifle and handgun when he was taken into custody following a pursuit.
Authorities were called to the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge over the Colorado River just after noon on Friday when Wright allegedly parked across the southbound lanes. Both sides of US 93 were shut down for about 90 minutes.

I think it's time to start sending firm messages. Slap on as many additional charges as is feasible. They can likely pad out his list a fair bit more than what they've already got. And pursue maximum sentencing on all counts. Armed insurrection is not small shit.

Exactly - and after we've done that for Trump, we can look at doing it for all the nutters he has roused to stupidity.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

Maximum sentence, get him for anything that you possibly can.

Sick of these fucking idiots being fed this garbage from Fox News.

The only way this shit stops is if people start being punished for it.

Absolutely meaningless. Charge the pawns all you want, the people in charge are the ones peddling this shit. Punish them.

What a stupid thing to be a martyr for. Did anyone tell this idiot that she already lost the election?

She did get maximum sentence for the crimes she committed, which is none at all on both counts.

She has. They deemed no crime, 0 years. That's the maximum sentence.

Considering she didn't actually commit any crimes, she already paid her sentence.

Ah shit sorry I am feeding into the trolling to make the thread off topic to get it closed.

    My bad.

Her punishment was she lost the presidency. The FBI reopened the investigation like a week before the election.

This had nothing to do with left/right politics, other than this guy (and now you, as well) was pushing a far-right conspiracy propaganda lie. If we can't even agree on the fact that armed insurrection is not acceptable, you're just declaring your own self to be an extremist.

Hillary was closely investigated at multiple levels. The investigations all determined she committed absolutely no crimes, and thus the maximum sentence she deserves is "nothing".

And I believe the reason no charges were recommended was because she had "no intent". Unfortunately that's not really relevant, so they re-wrote Federal law.

The outcome is the outcome, and I accept it, but it's important to understand how it came about.

The opinion piece you're citing is just factually wrong.

1> The FBI can't rewrite statutes. And did not, in this case.

2> He's incorrectly summarizing the FBI's justifications, which did not deny charges over 793(f) over issues of intent, as your author claims. Intent was relevant to other charges considered by the FBI, which is why Comey mentioned it. This is all detailed in the IG's report, here; https://www.justice.gov/file/1071991/download

Chapter 7, starting on p253, is what you're looking for. In particular, the way they describe "gross negligence" in how it is used in that particular charge is very much at odds with your author's contention. He's just flat-out wrong on the law. Now, maybe he just didn't grasp the details; he wrote that back in 2016, and so it's not like he'd read the new IG report that just came out, unless he's a time traveler; I'm not ascribing malice to him. He's just wrong.

The dumbass probably wanted it released in picturebook form so he could understand it.
