#MSAGA Maybe Trump can send over some of that swamp he's draining to help fill it.

but SA is going to make Qatar pay for it right?

I was actually in Qatar last week visiting a relative. And you'd be surprised at how much they hate their Saudi and UAE neighbours to the point where openly talking about supporting Saudi and UAE affairs will get you arrested. There are roughly 300,000 Qatari natives living in Qatar and the rest of population which is the majority is made up of roughly 2 million Indian, African and European expats. There is massive inequality in the country like in all the Gulf states between the natives and the majority of the expats.

With that said, the accusations against Qatar are wholly unfounded and there is no proof that they supported terrorism or influenced the other Gulf state's affairs via the internet. Saudi is just upset that Qatar is defying them on the world stage.

Have you guys read the 13 demands that have been imposed on them that they need to meet before the blockade will be lifted. Its ridiculous. SA is a big bully.

The ISIS-funding, 9/11 funding sharia-law to the letter country acts villainous and evil? Colour me surprised. It's comfortable to be under that US backing.

Good for them, I suppose. Canals can do more than seperate Borders, however. I've been saying that for awhile now.
On the topic of the US following such a notion: it's not that crazy. Building a canal is a far better plan than some ridiculous wall fantasy, and would probably even have bipartisan support. Not only that, but it would do something a wall would never do: generate revenue.
Panama Canal is sorta the go to as it stands right now, so imagine the trade potential.

It would be heavily trafficked, and a lot easier to guard than us going all Night's Watch on the scary foreigners. Would have the added bonus that the next president after Trump would sure as heck continue on such a project because it wouldn't be racially motivated, because...let's face it. Even if Trump /somehow/ gets that wall built, it's gonna take a lot longer than the couple of years he can potentially be president, and as soon as he's out it'll sit there deserted like his casinos.

So Qatar is going to be an island. Surrounded by water. Big water. Ocean water.

Saudi Arabia accusing ISIS of terrorism is already ironic, let alone anything else.

When you have so much you can build a moat around your enemy without invading them.

It'd be amusing if they build it entirely on their side of the border with some room on the opposite shore to build a fence/ wall, just so Qatar can't use the Canal for anything.
