So they can get judges and lawyers to do something like this, but when it comes to legal citizenship to make the process faster so people aren't forced to cross just to not be killed by their government or drug lords suddenly there's no money for miles. Totally makes sense.

Big deal that makes the OP more credible. They're going as far as to discharging immigrants in the military as immigrants will sign up and serve in order to fast track their immigration and citizenship processes. Being discharged before completing their service means they lose that benefit.
