    Pre-built computer;

    Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a temporary pre-built PC to play wow until I move out, not to spend more than £900-1000

How would you rate these options, in terms of quality/price:

    £567.60 with discount
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...ETPMZ9A1&psc=1

    £799.95
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...A17AS5ETPMZ9A1

    £928 (from cyberpowersystem)
    CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-8500 - 6-Core 3.00GHz, 4.30GHz Turbo - 9MB Cache + UHD Graphics [+83]
VIDEO: MSI GeForce® GTX 1060 3GB Video Card [+47] (Single Card)
    HDD: 1TB Seagate BarraCuda SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200RPM Hard Drive (1 Drive)
SSD: Kingston SSDNow A400 SATA III Gaming MLC Solid State Disk
MEMORY: 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4/2400mhz Dual Channel Memory [+10] (Corsair Vengeance LPX w/Heat Spreader)
    MOTHERBOARD: Asus H310M-K INTEL H310 Chipset, micro-ATX Mainboard w/ 2 RAM slots, HD Audio, GbLAN, USB 3.1, SATA-III, 1x PCIe x16, 2x PCIe x1

    Last one includes freebies -
    1) Coolermaster MasterSet MS120 RGB Keyboard + Mouse Combo
    2) RAM upgrade to Corsair Vengeance LPX w/Heat Spreader
    3) Intel Q1'18 VR Games and Software Bundle (useless for me tbh)
    4) CyberPower Gaming Mouse Pad
    5) Bullguard Internet Security 2018 for Windows PC with Game Booster! - 1 year - 3 User Licence

    There's also this
    £999
    https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-z370-in...g-pc-if10.html

    Any advice would be appreciated!

1st build is trash for wow (fx-cpu)
2nd has better gpu than 3rd but you wont notice the difference in wow, but has no ssd and all the other freebies are missing as well
fps will be similar but loadtimes are a mess without ssd

building your own pc is not an option?

First build has a very old CPU. Which is low to mid-range for wow. It also has very shitty RAM and a low-quality PSU.
The second build has a low-quality PSU.
The third build is much like the second build but has a low-end SSD. Also, don't know what PSU it has.

I mean, the 1 from Cyberpower is better overall. That SSD is a big + (but then again it is quite easy to just buy one yourself after and just put it in yourself)
However there are 2 things I think you should change. Get a intel CPU (K) so that you can overclock it in the future when it might be needed and a total of 16bg of ram. Then the PC is "future" proof and the only thing that might need to be upgraded in the near future is the GPU.

So what I am trying to say is. Build your own

    If not, option 3.

How about this one? https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-z370-in...g-pc-if10.html [to include an SSD]

It's a bit tough to build one on my own as I lack the confidence and from what I've seen buying parts in the UK is pretty expensive. Also, I'm not looking for a future proof computer at the moment as I'll get a new one in the future - just need this temporarily and will leave it to my parents afterwards.

I agree with building your own is the best case scenario. There are tons of youtube videos that will teach you to do so.

It's Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 600W 80+ Gaming Power Supply

Also, upgraded to i5-8600k and 250 GB Samsung 860 EVO, bringing it to £1003.

    That one is absolute dogshit.

Just noticed that homepage only sells crappy PSU's in their pre-build versions.

    Thanks a ton!

I upgraded the cyperpower one to i5-8600k and 250 GB Samsung 860 EVO, bringing it to £1003. With the Corsair CX600 600W, and a 6Bg gpu, it brings it up to 1070 - this also includes the aforementioned freebies, and without having a discount yet (around £30, depending on final price).

If not, I may try finding someone to build it for me.

If you lived in my country I could build it for you for 30 euro(my usual fee).
    Sadly I live in Denmark.

Just sucks all of the computers have shitty PSU's on that site.

If that is the case, that you don't care about the future proof. Go with the one from Cyberpower. It is cheaper and will run games smoothly.
However. The one you linked now is good if you change to the 16gb ram and if you change the CPU cooler to the Corsair H100. Then you can OC the CPU to atleast 5ghz. It is also got a 1080 which should last atleast 3-4 years.

Of the pre-builts you listed I would go with the second option.

HOWEVER for the same budget you can get a much better system:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

    CPU: Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor (£203.99 @ Aria PC)
    CPU Cooler: CRYORIG - H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler (£34.99 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
    Motherboard: Asus - Prime Z370-P ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£101.52 @ Ebuyer)
    Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2800 Memory (£144.10 @ Amazon UK)
    Storage: Crucial - BX300 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£35.49 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£34.74 @ Aria PC)
    Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GT OCV1 Video Card (£249.96 @ Ebuyer)
Case: Phanteks - Eclipse P300 Tempered Glass (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case (£47.96 @ Ebuyer)
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 (EU) 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£74.99 @ Amazon UK)
Keyboard: Cooler Master - CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle Wired Gaming Keyboard w/Optical Mouse (£39.99 @ Amazon UK)
Other: Windows 10 key from Kinguin (£31.99)
    Total: £999.72
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
    Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-07-11 14:34 BST+0100

CPU: WoW likes fast cores. This CPU will give you much better framerates than any in your pre-builts.
Cooler: Will allow decent overclocks if you desire, will be otherwise silent if you don't.
Mobo: An inexpensive top name brand board. Has everything you'll need.
Memory: 16gb so you can have multiple pornhub tabs goign while you wait for your wipe recovery.
SSD: Name brand, not the fastest on the market but nice price. 120gb will be big enough for your OS and WoW
HDD: A WD blue. Bulk storage.
GPU: Name brand. Will play any game you own at 1080p with decent settings and decent if not 60+ FPS.
PSU: High-quality. Modular. Gold rated if that matters to you. Good stuff, much better than what will be in the pre-builts.
Case: All the bells and all the whistles you need. Looks good imo. Pick another if you fancy something else.
Keyboard and Mouse: You mentioned getting a free one... so didn't know if you needed it. Drop it if you don't.
OS: Kinguin is perfectly safe if you pay the £1 "buyer protection." If your Paladin like code of ethics prevents you from going to the grey market add £40.

All told you're going to get a much better system for the same price. If you're worried about putting it together yourself - there's thousands of youtube step by step video's available. We here at the forum will always be willing to help as well. Failing that you can usually pay a local shop £25 to put the parts you bought together for you.
I sat alone in the dark one night, tuning in by remote.
I found a preacher who spoke of the light, but there was Brimstone in his throat.
He'd show me the way, according to him, in return for my personal check.
I flipped my channel back to CNN and lit another cigarette.

See, danish ppl are dicks. I would build it for free xD (Joke, plz be nice)
Anyway 30 euro is pretty cheap compared to "big" CO, they usually take 60 or more :/
Do you just build it or do you also install OS, maybe update to latest drivers etc?

Is this one better - Corsair Hydro Series H80I?

The H80i is not better than the H100. But the H80i will do just fine aswell.

    Thanks!

There's also the NZXT Kraken X42 RGB High Performance Liquid Cooling system w/ 140mm Radiator, though that would add £61.

That's a really good build. You don't need that NZXT kraken cooler. Unless you want the RGB.

Anyway 30 euro is pretty cheap compared to "big" CO, they usually take 60 or more :/
Do you just build it or do you also install OS, maybe update to latest drivers etc?
    Includes building and installing everything.

Windows, Browsers, and other things the customer want. (also drivers obviously.)

I am a 1 guy operation. Don't have any company to lean up with just a local computer guy people know. Used to work with this in the past for big companies but I'm currently studying so it's on the side kind of thing.
