I think the only time we've seen this level of rank, idiotic partisanship was during the pointless 8 Benghazi investigations. This is a disgrace to the country, and the Republicans and their constituents who are engaging in and supporting this behavior should all be ashamed. If they had the capacity for shame.
It is disgusting... just absolutely disgusting.

I wonder how long it will be before they are literally throwing feces, as opposed to just metaphorically.

Literally fuck these people forever. Fuck them forever. Maybe they should have the same anger towards their own god-damn president who was having an affair with a porn star days after his own child was born. These people are disgusting, and their dishonesty repulses me. If this is what America is now, this isn't the America I grew up in, this isn't the America I loved, and this isn't the America I want to live in.

How many fucking times does Jim Jordan and Trey Gowdy have to have time thrown back to them?

As many times as it takes for the non-Republican voters watching this to understand that the real witch hunt is the one the GOP is conducting against the country at large, I guess.

I'm sure we will see him in court once the hair paint is gone.

    This hearing is retarded.

    Ok, Republicans, explain this:
    1. He knew about the Russia investigation before the election.
    2. He didn't like Trump and didn't want Trump to be president.
    3. Republicans think he was willing to do illegal things to stop Trump.

Why in the fuck did he not leak the Russia investigation?

But after being asked about the blimp, Trump reportedly told The Sun newspaper: “I guess when they put out blimps to make me feel unwelcome, no reason for me to go to London.”
    Womp womp.

This was even mentioned by the Dems. One outright said "if you were so biased and you had a magic bullet. Why didn't you use it?"

Are Republicans consciously being stupid to bat for team red or is it just natural stupidity?

Its just a massive shame with all the focus being on russia
the larger question of what happened in America that made Trump not only president
but the comments and policies he comes out with so acceptable.

If you look back at the history he should already have been forced to resign
but he's there and okay the latest poll numbers on his job rating have fallen 10 points
but the guy should be in single figures.

He's managing to dismantle decades of friendships and trust in just over 2 years
and the GOP are powerless to stop him. this oversight hearing today is just missing Jerry Springer.
its become the new norm now. Scream and hell = trump supporters will love it.

Farage did the same here. He made having views that were totally unthinkable 10 years ago
okay, Its all the fault of the establishment they dont have a clue how the man in the street thinks.
    sound familiar ?

The US has no left party, so we're lacking a political party that really serves the interests of the working class. So the working class just threw Trump at the presidency as if that would help anything. That's how Trump won the swing states at least.

The far right loonies have always been there. It's just this time they got the working class on their side because the working class was tired of corporate loving democrats so they elected even more corporate loving republicans. Does it make sense? No, it doesn't.

Yep farage did the same here over brexit he got those people who weren't even registered to go out and vote
all the problems they currently face are caused by the Polish and all the other people allowed to travel here from the EU.
the promises trump has made like reversing the rust belts. And pulling all those jobs back (building the wall and making others pay)
    Its never going to happen.

but his 2020 campaign will be based around how the establishment are still the ones blocking all these grand plans
and worrying people will still believe him. He's challenged so much Just wonder how long its going to be before
a conversation on a president standing more than twice arises ?

5 years ago that would have been unthinkable and not suggesting for a moment it will happen
but if this idea does arise it just shows how bad things really are.

President Trump is railing against what he described as the migration of "millions and millions of people" into Europe, declaring that the continent is "losing its culture" to refugees and asylum seekers from the Middle East and Africa.

In an interview with the British tabloid The Sun published Thursday, Trump said that it is a "shame" that European leaders had allowed so many migrants to enter their countries' borders.

“Allowing the immigration to take place in Europe is a shame," the U.S. president told the tabloid, which his owned by conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
And he's exporting his racist, xenophobic culture war to Europe. God fucking damnit. This country was built on the types of immigrants him and his ilk continue to demonize.

    Edit: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...=.b42fe57d920d

Very solid op-ed from the WashPo editorial board on just how monumentally stupid and damaging today's Republican shitshow was. I'll choose the best bit for the thread -

Republicans spent hours parsing text messages and waving documents in the air. But all of it, just like most of the broader House investigation, was a distraction from this central point about the conspiracy narratives the president and his defenders have been cooking up about the FBI: If the agency had been trying to harm Mr. Trump’s campaign, agents could have released damaging information on pro-Trump Russian interference before Election Day — and they did not.

The investigators certainly had a lot they could have spilled. “In the summer of 2016, I was one of a handful of people who knew the details of Russian election interference and its possible connections with members of the Trump campaign,” Mr. Strzok said. “This information had the potential to derail, and quite possibly, defeat Mr. Trump. But the thought of exposing that information never crossed my mind.
