They can all get any sub job but you can only have one of each sub job. So for instance Olberic is a Knight. One of your other 7 characters can sub job Knight but no one else can. I believe you can also swap them around so you're not locked in if you decide to change your mind on a sub job.

Yes I know, then if you want a specific passive since passives don't need a job to be equipped you'll be doing a shit ton of grinding.

Though I'm not gonna bother with that part, just don't know who to give what.

Been playing octopath in short bursts, after getting the thief I spent an hour revisiting towns to steal from everyone. Hopefully things pick up a little more once I have all 8 characters.

Can always just do both. Especially if you get a 1hr break. Just bring a lunch you can eat with one hand and there ya go. Pretty sure Octopath can be played with a single joycon, can't it? As far as I can tell it doesn't make use of ZL and ZR, just regular L and R. I'm not super far in though (playing Tressa because WHO CARES about being a mighty warrior or a damage dealing Sorceror.....I WANNA SELL SHIT!) so.....

Bummer. Was hoping somehow the stars aligned and it was announced, but was too lazy to see how far back the convo went.

Maybe the enhanced version years down the line will be a Switch version since there won't be(likely anyways) a Sony handheld to make it for. Still a long shot though as the entire series has been PS exclusive outside of Arena and Q.

Octopath was third place on the UK charts for it's launch week, only just barely being beaten out by Crash N. Sane and LEGO Incredibles. Sales are almost double and more than double the launch week sales for Bravely Default and Bravely Second, respectively.
