why just separate voidform from insanity completely? make voidbolt an insanity dump thats always available.
voidfrom would no longer replace shadowform. it would now read
Voidform 60 sec CD
Pulls power form The Void, increasing haste by 15% for 20 secs increasing by 1% every 4 secs.
Surrender to madness could just triple the duration and CD.
void bolt could cost whatever maths out to be 1 every 4-5 seconds or so without being to intrusive.
if that's the case dots would need a duration buff.

Make insanity a resource that can be toggled on to enhance abilities (mind sear applying sw: p) (mind blast refreshing dot duration) (mind flay seeping dot duration off the target for bonus damage). Then turn void form into a cooldown that enhances your abilities completely free of charge for the duration.

Cata Shadow was synergy perfection. I have not seen anything quite like it in recent days and really wish they could look back for the (hopefully) upcoming rework in 8.1.

I agree, Cataclysm Shadow was the best Shadow I can remember. One of the few times I could stick to raiding as a DPS spec on a class that has other roles on it. Originally Posted by Romanticide

Yea this and while we are at it.. give us options to which shadow priest we want to be.. raven priest, void priest.. I mean I liked it better when we didnt had a straightforward theme. It felt mysterious and and more vampiric. Now things just feel so out of place imo. Never got into voidform and all that stuff. Originally Posted by Tokas

yes well probably the best decision was to give different play styles like in WOD.
while both had some meh moments, but at least there were two!
