Extra "reset" for EU

Hi. With Release being at 0000 the 14.08 in EU. Will we be able to get a full clear of Mythic dungeons/ island expeditions before the reset on wednesday? or does the BFA week 1 start when release and first reset on the 22.08?

Either way it would be quite difficult without 310 gear to kill any mythic bosses

This. If an expansion launches outside the normal maintenance cycle, which it does, there is never a scheduled maintenance. There could be an emergency maintenance if something goes awfully wrong, however.

Hoping to hear back and have an answer before too long.

The big thing is getting extra seals. Getting 120 that quickly and going right into zeros is not likely to yield tremendous upsides, but it will have SOME impact, and that should be accounted for, especially as EU would have a big advantage in comparison.

Seals didn't go live until Emerald Nightmare opened in Legion. I'd imagine it's the same with BFA and Uldir

The only Advantage EU gets is that we get 1 extra day to farm whatever it is you still need before the raid is released. You won't be able to do M0's on tuesday and again on wednesday.

Based on Legions release there will be no mythic dungeons available until after the first reset happens the day after release.

I'd advise people to kick up a fuss just in case they aren't planning this or to at least just get confirmation that they're doing this again. If we have to rush for that extra reset it encourages some extremely unhealthy behaviour.

Mythic Dungeons are not available until the first weekly reset, like its always been. This isn't the first expansion to release on a Tuesday, Legion was exactly the same. They have specifically confirmed this as well, although I cba to dig through months of posts to find it for you, but its out there.

One should also note that US theoretically also has the ability to do that, since the expansion actually launches at 3pm on Monday(!) for them, thanks to the worldwide simultaneous launch. But of course no M difficulty until weekly resets makes that still impossible.

Weekly resets are also entirely independent of a maintenance taking place or not, but obviously they'll want to avoid the maintenance a day after expansion release, unless its absolutely required.

As silly as a bonus that might be, thats actually not true. EU launches at 0:00 on the 14th local time, US launches at like 3pm to 6pm on the 13th local time (depending on where you are in the US). If anything, they have much more time to do that!

Obviously. Your point being? Heroic dungeon specific queue is daily, not weekly.
The point is that EU launches 9 hours before daily reset, US launches in the afternoon, so they have much more time.

And even if you would consider weekly reset, US launches at 3pm Monday, thats still a lot of time to their weekly reset as well - but as stated in an earlier post, Mythic dungeons are locked until weekly reset.

There is no Mythic lockout before first reset, even if you level 120 day 1 and gear your character you can't enter Mythic dungeons before server reset. So not a problem, there is no world boss either.
EU have more than 24 hours before reset, but they can't enter Mythic dungeons.
