As someone who lives in NC and watches most of the Panthers games, I was glad when Benjamin got traded to Buffalo. He has good size, but his speed and hands are mediocre. I think Funchess is better. KB rarely gets open against man to man. Just look at his effort on this play. Poor throw by Newton, but this is the play where Cam hurt his shoulder in the 2016 season. (oops, at 2:50 mark, thought I linked to timestamp).

And who does KB think he is going to be catching passes from this year? The big worry about Allen is his accuracy, which was worse in college than Newton's has been in the pros. Maybe McCarron, who has thrown 14 game passes in the last 2 years.

That was a nice courtesy block Perryman threw on Benjamin.

"Cleveland is trading former first-round pick WR Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills for a draft pick, per source. Coleman was the player the Browns selected after trading the No. 2 overall pick to Philadelphia so the Eagles could draft Carson Wentz." - Schefter

Wonder what Kelvin Benjamin thinks about this development...

I think it might be more about Zay Jones still being on the NFI (non-football injury) list, and there being no clear #2 on the squad, unless you consider Jeremy Kerley a #2 WR.

Nope. Kerley is a decent slot receiver, but that's where his prowess stops. Hurt the Patriots quite a few times from the slot while on the Jets. Didn't realize he was with you guys now.

Not only is he with us, but he's literally taking first team reps as the #2 receiver.......at least until today. That's how bad our WRs are.

At least you're not intending to use Tavon Austin like the Chiefs use Tyreek Hill.
Because that's not delusional at all.

Turns out we got Coleman for a 7th round pick in 2020. LOL.

I know he's considered a "bust," but surely he was worth more than that? The Bills might actually be decent in 2020 and that pick could be next-to-nothing.

    Damn. Pat’s release Malcom Mitchell.

Absolutely loved that guy, but we’re so deep at WR I get it. Hope he lands somewhere decent and does well when he’s finally healthy again.

He threw his teammates under the bus out of spite.

    That's being a cancerous diva.

They definitely draft poorly but it all comes from the top, and man is that owner garbage.

Nathan Peterman went 7/7 for 75 yards and a TD in the Bills opening drive. Benjamin caught 58 of those yards.

    Incoming more murkiness at QB.

Heh, I don't know about that, if Peterman develops into a serviceable NFL backup that would be helpful, but he looked pretty good against the Saints last year and then things didn't go so well the next week.

OK, at least one play today that makes me happy, Kamara picking up two blitzers and Thomas fighting through three tacklers to pick up a first.

New season, same old too-slow linebacker corps. And that's against the Washington 2's. Hopefully one of the rookies can show out.

Baker Mayfield looking really good so far. Although, I think it would be funny if Tyrod Taylor ends up kicking serious ass during the season and having Baker sit his rookie year. It would be good for him either way, I just think it would throw off the fans who might already be calling for Baker to start.

They're playing starkers? That's an interesting twist. Doubt that conforms to the NFL Uniform code.
