It almost feels like that with Anduin being in the place of Arthas in the cinematics. Do all priests have an affinity for shadow? He also has Alleria close to him now.

I don't know if that's an allegory to his falling/failing or just an allegory towards the "second" fall of Lordaeron, but it is an interesting thing to ponder and was definitely deliberate

No, it's part of the alliance scenario if I remember correctly. Horde are left to think he died.

The part that confuses me the most is why does the Alliance even need Kul'Tiras?

Jaina singlehandedly took on the entire Horde Army and sent them into retreat.

The only reason Jaina didn't level all of Lordearon is because the Alliance wanted to take it and turn it back into an Alliance Stronghold.

Even on BfA Beta, the entire Horde is scared shitless of Jaina including powerful Lore Characters like Zul and Thalyssra.

With her Titan / God staff Jaina is bar none the most powerful Mortal in the game.

EDIT: I am a proud Horde player btw not an Alliance / Jaina fanboy.
