Can you get more than 1 piece of equipment from a single dungeon?

I have been doing dungeons a lot, and it has always been exactly 1 piece of loot from a dungeon. Is it possible to get 2 or 3? Seems a bit pointless if not, as it's just easier to leave the group after you got your loot, so you don't pointlessly do the remaining bosses for a few silly ap gains.

I saw someone get three pieces from Waycrest Manor Heroic so I assume you can

Yes, had a ring drop from 1st and a weapon from last. So you can.

it depends, largely, on random chance.

Yeah, I've gotten multiple pieces of loot from a single dungeon.

Yes there's a random chance you can get more than the guaranteed one piece of loot per dungeon that personal loot gives.

There's no guaranteed piece, it's just very likely you'll get one.

Definitely not guaranteed to get one piece. I've gone through several heroics with nothing.

I swear I remember them making it so that you were guaranteed a single piece of loot in personal loot since WoD so that people would keep using Dungeon Finder after all the complaints about getting nothing. Also I don't recall ever not getting a piece of loot whilst dungeon running normal and Heroic dungeons in Legion and Mythic was the only difficulty that rarely gave me a piece. Huh, I guess it must have been changed for BfA.

On average the reason most dungeons have 4 bosses is to award 3 item to 3 players from the first 3 bosses and the remaining 2 items to the last 2 players from the last boss that drops 2 items. If the dungeon has 5 bosses(like Waycrest) someone is bound to get 2 items. There's also a real chance that if you looted from the first 2 bosses, you get an item from the last boss as well, that chance increases if someone leaves the group as it will mess with the algorithm. If you just leave after getting your item for example, there's a big chance 1-2 from the original group are getting nothing the entire dungeon.

You can also get 0. And that sucks.

Aren't it bound to loot spec?
I've been only having my loot spec set to Fury when I'm against a boss that drops weapons, to ensure a higher chance. But I don't know if it works this way.

If true - you can influence the amount of loot you get

That's just not true, period. It's a fact, no debate needed.

Nothing's worse than doing a mythic while undergeared and not getting any loot.

Fuck that Hydrocore, I want loot.

It used to be a thing in WoD, you were guaranteed a drop off the final boss. But it is no longer a thing unfortunately.
