To be honest, thinking critically about it, this isn't even a left thing. Not sure why people put people on the left simply because they're black. Ethno-nationalism is a right wing stance, no matter if they're white, black, indian, asian, or icelandic.

Given what would ultimately happen, If put in the shoes of the person making the decision at that time when they were deciding if Apartheid would remain, I'd not only keep apartheid I'd work on partitioning the country into Afrikaner and Black zones and instead just split the country.

Given all that's happened, I would not subject my own electorate and children to such things as happen to Afrikaners.
