Confused on what needs an upgrade

Hello people,i'm confused on what should i upgrade and where excatly on tight budget.
I'm using Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb which i just bought and not looking for new
    But these things worry me
    I'm using 8GB DDR3 Ram,1666mhz
    I5-2500 3.3 GHz 4 core (sandy Bridge)
Now what worries me if i want an ugrade (300e) tops
Should i get myself new Motherboard and everything with it or just a cpu.
If getting a new everything except gpu,is it really worth giving much more money on ddr4? I need help with all this.
I'm playing on ultrawide 25" monitor, games, mostly World of Warcraft.Country Serbia

The 2500 is still decent. That said, you'd get a pretty decent bump going to the 8400.

However, upgrading to a new CPU also means you'd need a new MOBO and new RAM. Looking on pcpartpicker, the absolute cheapest CPU/mobo/RAM combo you can get is 340€ with the i5-8400, and a standard ATX MOBO. Well, 340€ if your prices are the same as Germany's prices.
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

    CPU: Intel - Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core Processor (€180.93 @ Mindfactory)
Motherboard: MSI - B360 GAMING PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (€91.66 @ Amazon Deutschland)
    Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws 4 series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (€67.59 @ Amazon Deutschland)
    Total: €340.18
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

As for just buying a CPU: You'd be locked into the same socket, which at this point is ancient and has no support, so I'd really not recommend it.

Is 1151 still in use tho? How long will i be good with that?
I found these in my country
    Gigabyte B360M D3P - 82 euros
    INTEL Core i5-8400 145 euros
    Kingston Hyperx Fury DDR4 8GB 2666MHz CL15 65 euros

Yes, 1151 is still in use.... sorta. Its basically 1151 v2, as they change the pin layout for power delivery reasons. It is not backwards co patible with Skylake/Kaby Lake, but will be forward-compatible with the 9-series chips.

That MOBO is a micro-atx board. If you're sure your case has mounting options for it it, go ahead.
And what Kagthul said about the 1151 socket pretty much. It's been here for a while and looks like it'll stay for the next generation too.

Quick edit: Apparently I mixed mini and micro up, as was pointed out in another thread here, micro should fit in any standard case

    What about ASrock B360M Pro4? It's 75 euros
And about 8400 cpu, does it work on 2.8GHz or i need to OC it? And are both of these motherboards able to OC ?

Are you sure the 2500 is a non-k model ?

If it's not then overclock it as long as you have a worthwhile cooler, and if you don't then buy one. The performance increase you'll gain will be enormous.

You need a Z370 to OC, the B360 and H370 do not.

Hey guys, I don't want to open new thread so I will post here again, many say that ryzen 5 2600 is much better than i5 8400atm.how true is it?

Just dont get an H370. Its such a waste of money.

    Get a B360 or H310.

It has more threads, and a higher base clock, but it'll perform within margin of error in games.. Until you OC the 2600.

That said, there are still some games (like WoW) that do not like Ryzen for whatever reason

For gaming? No, and it's never going to be. For production - it is.

They're similar in gaming performance, and the 2600 is better in everything else.

Going to hijack this a bit. Speaking of overclocking. Do you reckon it's worth uprading a 2600K OCd somewhere around 4.8GHz?

Depends what you mean by "worth". Will you get a performance bump by no longer using 6/7 generation old hardware? Yes.
Will it be worth the cost associated with it? Who knows.

Also, that's not a bad OC for that CPU.

I had a long response typed out but decided it was saying too much. I'll just summarize, it depends on what you're playing, your budget, realistic expectations, and if you're trying to utilize a 60Hz+ display. That's an impressive OC btw.

That's a pretty normal OC for Sandy Bridge. My 2600K has been running on 4.9 nonstop for 5 years before I sold it. Just needed a good cooler.

IIRC 4.5 was obligatory, higher than that wasn't a sure thing and 4.6+ was something like 1 out of 4 overclocks. It also depended on how high you were willing to go with the vcore.
