i feel like they really nailed something they overlooked with the first round of heritage armor

and that's ambiguity. this armor looks like it could be cloth, leather, mail, or plate and therefore works fine on any class

Before I get too excited about that weapon...which better be a 1 hander. I have no interest in any of the allied races. Thus I haven't gotten any heritage armor for them. Did any of them actually come with any weapons? I know some weapons that matched were shown. But I don't know if they can be gotten. If this does become the heritage armor for Blood Elves.

This feels and looks like an update to the guards in Silvermoon and for the scenario. Silvermoon guards currently use ancient modified night elf models. This set looks functional but does not have the level of complexity I would expect for the Belf heritage armour.

yer this is more likely the guard updates then the heritage armour, in saying that i expect the the heritage armour to actually not be all that far off from this

The helm is wrong.. should be the phoenix type one then ot would be perfect for guards. The herritage armor should be a bit more.. idk.. mejestic.

Drop the helm, change the color shades of red to a brighter one, more print o the garment. Generally more like:

highly doubt it. no allied race got weapons for their transmog even though they are in the game

It's regular citizen/guard outfit. You want it to have miniature Liadrins on the shoulders and a huge Silvermoon logo floating behind you?
