Getafix the Druid.
He has a potion for everything, besides being a generally clever fellow.
and what happens if he starts to develop dementia, or some other sort of neurological disease or dysfunction? Hell, what happens if something similar to the Injustice series happens where someone kills the person he loves and he loses his moral code?
In a universe where there are people who can stand up to Superman and stop him if he goes wrong, then sure he's a great asset. But if he's the only one around? Then the entire world is literally banking on the hope that he never has a really bad day.
Either you go with one of the genius-level guys who could actually fix most of the problems in the world (Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Hank McCoy, Forge, not Stark because he may be a genius but he doesn't have as strong of a ethical code as the other ones) through technology and such, or go with someone like Cypher/Warlock/Douglock or Elixir, who can heal others, solve any code, or other such powers that would help advance society (imagine if there were someone who could literally crack any code or read/communicate in any language? Think of what that would do with ancient languages or cyphers).

Stark, so we'd get a technology development boost.
Now you see it. Now you don't.
But was where Dalaran?
