Here's the deal: identity politics are not leftist politics; that's just the bullshit "policy platform" the Democrats decided to bank their entire political campaign on since they are the furthest from actual leftists policies. Democrats represent right-ist policies (but not as extreme right as the Republicans) ever since Kennedy who started as a centrist-right.

Leftist policy (more accurately, Marxist policies) don't waste time in blaming race and identity as the major ailment of society; rather, capitalism is the main culprit here given its inherent class divisions that care little about what race or gender a person is.
