While there is plenty to criticize Diablo mobile, a game that nobody wanted, the whole "it's just a re-skin!" based on similar UIs is silly. All mobile action rpg games have that UI because it's simply the most optimal way to play an action game. Movement at the bottom left, skill buttons at bottom right, potions can be above the movement or skill buttons. Where else would you put the controls? At the top?

Now if most of the skills and animations are copies then yeah I would agree. (One or two is fine I guess)

Agreed. It's like saying that Path of Exile is a reskin of Diablo because they use a mouse. The biggest issue I see with Diablo Immortal is that it is releasing on a platform with a massive stigma among the gaming community. If the game was both PC and mobile I could see it being received better, but Blizzard completely miscalculated about how much hatred there is for mobile gaming amongst gamers, and for good reason.

If they can make the game actually good without all the bad stuff that mobile games tend to have like awful microtransactions and stuff, then Blizzard might make mobile gaming a little bit more respected. However, they frankly need to reconsider not making a PC version as well, since that is just incredibly stupid.

No they didn't. it's still there.

The video that was in the launcher was the 100k one, so they made it private, uploaded the other video and made it the one that is in the launcher and un privated the other one.

It was like that 1 hour ago, maybe they fixed it, DatModz was talking about it and showing it on his stream.

I don't have a problem with another extra mobile game to play for a couple hours a month but i at least wished for some real diablo content, d4 was a dream but at least another d3 expansion. Nothing again just like last year.. it's sad.

But it's a mobile action rpg game. You use your fingers on the movement pad for movement and press skill buttons to use skills. Action rpgs, mobile or not, aren't exactly complex to play (talking about play mechanics not in-depth character development like PoE).

If they created their own engine and game from the ground up instead of using another game and replacing its art assets.

Not really. They prescreen questions and there's no way he told them he was going to ask that question. If you're going to lie to them before going to the mic and asking a question in front of thousands of people they have every right to kick your ass out.

Totally worth it though, he's the hero of the day.

If you have to be so petty to "escort" someone away just because he has asked a question you don´t like it clearly shows what a shitty company you are.

And that this Blizz is not the same Blizz anymore which made good games and had a connection to them.

I mean that's not exactly financially responsible. Whether it's Blizzard developing an in-house engine on a whim for one mobile action rpg game or that Chinese company for another action rpg. As for developing the game from the ground up, I don't think you can really re-invent the mobile action rpg gameplay considering how simple it is.

Honestly I think their biggest mistake was even trying to market this to Western audiences. It's clearly meant for the mobile heavy audience over in China.

Oh I don't disagree with the game being a horrible idea. Making a mobile version of Diablo cheapens the franchise as a whole. It certainly is designed for Chinese audiences. I just disagree with it being a complete copy.

The fact that it doesent look at that bad just makes it worse! If they had made it into a D3 expansion for PC people wouldnt be raging so hard, why take one of the best PC franchises and make a mobile game I'll never understand.
