Legion. Where the piece of shit game mechanics (grinds, rng casino reward scheme/scam) began.

Legion, I couldn't bring myself to level, and the artifact and world quests were bleh.
I agree with you mate, classes are just so freaking dull now.
Even if someone brings up the point, that some classes got their Artifact Ability as a talent, but then that talent replaced something in the tree.
I honestly thought, that class design could not go any worse after Celestalon left the team.
Apparently Blizz had to prove me wrong
BFA is not over yet but so far this has been like a tier 3 expansion for me. And this is what my tier 1-3 list would look like:
Tier 1:
- Classic
- TBC
- WotLK
Tier 2:
- MoP
- Legion
Tier 3:
- Cata
- WoD
- BFA (so far)
I hated nearly every single thing about MoP. I found the raids horribly annoying more than anything (espeacially since I mained Spriest), I didn't like the theme, most of the zones were annoying as hell, the story just didn't click with me, about every spec I wanted to play for whatever class I wanted was either grossly sub par or trash. Beyond horrible dailies just, a new zone dedicated to aping Guild Wars 2 which I loathed at that time ugh, all of it. Only thing I liked coming from it were my panda monk, shes cool and brewmaster let me finally conquer my fear of tanking.
The rest of it though can jump off a cliff. Admitedlly I was going through very dark times irl then so it brings back those memories too. I'm happy the level scaling lets me forget Pandaria exists.
By the sounds of it I should be thankful for it making me quit and skipping WoD. I bet Legion wouldn't have blown me away nearly as much if I stuck around.
WoD for me.
Not because of garnisons, not because of lore clusterf**k, not because of the Iron Horde (the least threatening threat of WoW), and things I don't remember..
WoD is the worst WoW expansion for me, because it tried too much to make me forgotten Mists of Pandaria, my favorite WoW expansion.
Everything in WoD said :
"Ho no please! Come back! MoP is never happened! Look! War! War everywhere! Orcs! No more NPCs schooling you! You'll be commander of an army and everyone will praise you as a living war God! Panda, peace and asiatic themes are for pussies! We're so agree with you! And look! It happens in Draenor! In the old Outlands! The same place in BC, your favorite expansion!"
Just the first spoken word in the first WoD announcement (WAR) made me realized they threw eveything from MoP into garbages....
I still miss my Halfhill farm.
And BC for second because of the What-the-hell-is-going-on lore..(and Blood elves who have invaded Horde population)
Cataclysm due to the world revamp. They should have changed the quest hubs and quest flow, but not the layout of the zones. I started wow as a night elf. I spent a lot of time in auberdine, darkshore. Have some nostalgic feelings. But not like nostalgia is important
Without a doubt, WoD. It was the start of many design choices in terms of content (or lack thereof) and classes (shaman going from pretty solid by end of MoP to total dogshit) that convinced me Blizz has lost it’s magic touch.
MoP by a landslide. That shitshow made Cata and WoD look like good expansions.
Has to be classic.
The way you played your class was just boring... You spammed one ability as your main damage source and if you were lucky you had an additional ability or two that you used aswell. In every iteration of WoW since you atleast have something more going on. Rather than spamming your shadowbolts or your aimed shot or your Healing Touch (rank 3,4 or 11). Now you acually have rotations, resources you gain and spend.
However, even after saying all this. I'm gonna quit BFA when Classic comes out and play Classic.
BfA is already worst than WoD in my book. At least in WoD I could make some gold and buy stuff.
I've enjoyed all of them.
Least favorite is WoD due to the cut raid and devs jumping ship. Environmentally it's gorgeous, the raids that were there were very fun. Draenor had amazing potential. It's unfortunate that the emergent garrison style gameplay ended up tanking what WoW should be about.
I would argue that there really has not been a *bad* expansion. Just mistakes and holes in the vision at certain points along the way that made the experience poor. (Such as Azerite Armor).

Agreed. There's not a lot of gold available in the game.
BFA is infinitely worse than WOD or anything Cata managed, then i see posts saying BC or Legion as the worst.. can you be more out of touch.
TBC - by a long shot, vanilla had the levelling experience - TBC was about the end game and there was bugger all to do at 70.
Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

If I were a more hardcore player, I’d say WoD, but having been something more of a casual player from WotLK onward I’d have to say Cata. Leveling through Azeroth was always a joy before Cata and while the 1-60 revamp was interesting for leveling a couple of alts through, it quickly lost its sheen and has aged very badly. These days I find myself loathing 1-60 despite having played through it several tens fewer times than I ran through pre-cata 1-60.
Thankfully original 1-60 is coming back in the form of Classic, but even after that comes out I’ll still play modern WoW, so I hope that sometime soon 1-60 gets a new (hopefully more timeless) revamp.

Well if you base it off the comments on the various forums it's <CURRENT EXPANSION>. And any of the <PREVIOUS EXPANSION> suddenly gets all rose colored and people start eating member berries.
