Loved this movie as a child, its almost a horror movie.
The remake was so terrible but the twist wasnt that bad.

Oh god, Sphere was such a terrible adaptation of a really cool book. You know, sometimes it saddens me that Jurassic Park did so well when it did because it caused them to run through all of Crichton other books at a time when special effects and movie making really couldn't do them justice so we ended up with garbage like Sphere, Congo, and Timeline. All books that I loved turned into terrible movies.
