But please tell me more about things you don't understand. Also many governments actually do have certain laws in place around trading card packs, usually requiring odds to be stated on the packaging or available at retail if asked.
    That's called a lottery.

Just like lootbox's and they fall under gambling due to being a game of chance.

It's not gambling. Seriously, if you think it is, where is your outrage at Trading Card Games? Why is this only recently an issue and not 20-30 years ago when TCGs started. Why was this not an issue with Hearthstone?

    1) It factually is, you don't get to change facts cause you don't like them. You can keep screaming its not all you want but many governments, laws and the definitions disagree with you. Basic common sense also disagree's with you.

    2) Trading Card packs are also gambling and there is laws for them.

    3) It is a issue with Hearthstone, Its a issue with any game of chance.

Finally you just said that lottery isn't gambling, That fully shows what you are doing.

No a lottery isn't gambling. Going into a casino is gambling. Betting money on red is gambling.

Going to a lottery where you can win a popcorn machine isn't gambling. Otherwise gambling is allowed for children in my country since I was a kid. I remember I bought lottery tickets at my school when I was 6.

Really? In what countries? Not where I live. I bought Pokemon TCG packs as a kid. Friends of mine bought Magic packs as kids. This isn't illegal here, never was and never will be. It is not gambling. We also have Kinder Surprise Eggs. You know, the things where there are cool little figures in them, and you don't know which could be in them. It's a random surprise element cause that makes it more exciting. And guess what. Kids were always able to buy them here. I collected them as a kid. Guess what. Not illegal. You know why? Cause it's not gambling.

What about sticker albums? How about Baseball Cards? Pretty much everything you can collect has a random element to it cause otherwise it would be boring.

Yeah? Where was the outrage when Hearthstone was released? It never happened cause it's not gambling. All of a sudden lootboxes come out and everybody loses their shit.

You keep doing it. You can't expect people to take you serious when you keep making one of the most contradictory statements you can make in a discussion of this nature.

So please, don't quote me again until you go and learn what gambling is.

literally entire human history is proving that this line is wrong
if we can organize our sh8t we wouldn't need a government in first place, heck even with government they still abuse their positions to try scam us from money in their pockets (even the 'nice' canada just last week tried to make stairs for 65k usd that cost 0.5k !), but this far better than no system at all
and can't wait until the government hammer drops down on this gambling and kill it

If it was gambling, it would be forbidden here. You can't go into a casino as a kid. Why would you be able to participate in a lottery if it was gambling?

This guy is an activision exec in hopes of a future where they no longer sell you games, they sell you "game boxes" that will have a random game in it and it might be the one you want. Cause just buying the game you want is boring right?

You have to be 18 years old to participate in state lottery here, not sure what bullshit you're talking about.

Raffles have to offer a free entry method or they to, become a lottery and you're forced to be 18.

You literally have no clue what you're talking about.

It wasn't even a comparison, seems you don't understand that word either.

You said collecting is boring without a random element. People collect games. Do the math.

Tbf loot boxes are closer to your taco bell giveaway analogy then going to a casino. Sure you can buy loot boxes, but you can easily get them free. (Just like you can buy an excessive amount of 5 dollar boxes at t-bell to enter multiple time)

I'm not talking about a lottery where you can win money.

I said this before. Gambling is when you can win money. When you don't win money, it's not gambling. We have lotteries here where you can win prizes.

Gambling is when you go into a casino and you put real money down for a game, and if you lose, you lose the money, and if you win, you win money.

When you buy TCG packs, you buy a product. You are guaranteed to get a product. The product is random. But you always get a product. Gambling would be if you pay 3 bucks and then the store owner rolls a die and if you don't get the right result, you get nothing. That would be gambling.

Gambling in video games would be if you pay money and then there is a certain chance you will get something, and a certain chance you will get nothing. That is not the case with lootboxes. You buy a lootbox, you always get a lootbox. There is no element of gambling in this. Just cause you don't know what you will get doesn't make it gambling.

False, the Taco Bell giveaway gives you 2 entries per day regardless of if you spend money or not. The odds have to be the same. You can't just buy infinite boxes and enter them all, you can only enter once per day per entry method(text and web).

You have no idea what you are talking about. Learn some hubris. This isn't gambling, you are just looking for more reasons to complain.
