The only downside is the longer queues. I had some ridiculous ones yesterday. 400 seconds i think.

Which is nice, but anything that isn't a tank or a healer seems to have insane queue times lately, so the choice was apparently between potentially getting ducked over as a Bruiser (but certainly getting a short queue time), or never getting ducked over (but certainly getting a long queue time). South Park's giant douche and turd sandwich spring to mind.

As someone who has slogged through the HL queues this season, I don't mind the queue time.

Second, I guess the 2 supports were queued as friends, which automatically messes up the system.

To be "fair" to Blizzard though, the match I had before this was just as stacked against my team Hero-wise, but we completely devastated the other team despite our Stitches complaining from beginning of the game. Sometimes I feel like I'm being punished.

Granted a dota 2 game (used to at least) could drag into a 1 hour snorefest with constant push-pullback and "oh there is rosh in 1 minute" so a 5-8 minute queue wasn't something crazy to think about.

And since you've blurred out the part where you can identify who-stacked-with-who there is no way of telling if it's skewed matchmaking or it's a 4 stack-related issue. We often get into unfavored matchups when queue shit like probius+valeera+genji+azmodan, since there is just one spot left matchmaking apparently flips out and breaks, giving us abathur and enemy get either a balanced stack of players, or a group with stupid pick like ours, or complete vinaigrette of heroes

If you see a long queue you'd better to cancel and try again later, or go for a draft mode.

Nah they were much longer than 5-8 minutes when they started pick your lane mode. sat there for 20 minutes on support.

Yes, its a sign that you need to play more vs AI and less vs players. Your Gazlowe pick is awful for QM and would make 4 other players(your teammates) have a bad game.

1 tank, 1 healer and 1 ranged assassin, so it can't be a full melee team.

I don't play AI games. QM is there just for that reason that I can pick whatever hero to play for unlike in drafts. Also your point is invalid you can do fine with gaz in QM.

Played some Orphia last week to get it to level 10, was happy to practice my speed typing while in the queue.
