3 of the 5 "new" content is already dead end garbage

I understand people have this attachment to the game where they want it to be made in their own vision, but seriously just quit playing if you don't enjoy it. It's ok to go do other stuff for 4-6 months and come back to see where the game is at. Some of you act like addicts where its impossible to just stop playing the game and you are forced to do it.


A decline in player base is much more informative than people continuing to queue up and play features they don't enjoy. It actually provides false data.

The issue with this expansion is blizzard is implementing these features as part of a story narrative so we are getting it regardless if we enjoy it or not. The best they can do is try and make adjustments within the confines of the tech they are using which it appears they are attempting to do by adding heroic warfronts and what I can assume will be a mythic version at some point if it goes well.

These were the themes that were in the advertisement of BfA.

Artifact power doesn't even fucking matter. I don't get why it's so praised like "oh our alts can level up their artifact power so quickly and get on par with our mains!". Even Preach thought to himself how the fuck could players have this mindset.
Question: if they removed artifact power, would you really, really notice the difference?

Island Expeditions: This one was a fail on their own already. 2 weeks into BfA and I couldn't even be bothered to do this shit.
Blizzard doesn't seem to comprehend that players like to do hard content, with good rewards or atleast content that powers up your character and makes it stronger. I couldn't give a rat's ass about cosmetic items if they aren't hidden behind hard to do content as a means to show off your power status ingame like a mount or a cool ass weapon or title. Not even going to begin on all the rewards are based upon RNG.

Warfronts: I gotta give it to Blizzard. I couldn't honestly believe if they could have ever designed a more boring gameplay system than LFR, but loh and behold, the most disinteractive piece of garbage this expansion offers so far.

Rest of the game is just rehashed content. WQs, M+.

Azerite gear giving the players a new system around gearing isn't something to be proud of either. I love how they removed raid sets because of minmaxing, and in the end Azerite gear gets simmed and minmaxed anyway.

If you don't like the content the game has to offer: 1) why are you playing it and 2) why are you on the forums complaining about it?

I mean people loved world quests in legion, so much so that blizzard copied them directly into BFA but now everyone hates them. This community can't ever make up their mind, would islands appeal to you more if they had mythic+ or what? I also don't understand why this community acts like everything needs to be challenging when a large majority of people can't even clear heroic raids.....

Legion WQs gave you lots of order resources, noticeable amounts of gold, and a random chance at a BiS item (legiondaries) and cool mounts. BfA WQs, on the other hand, give you... pretty much nothing aside from rep. Who needs war resources now? 70-100g? Heroic dungeon level gear? Emissaries rewards are equally meh, other than the 2k gold ones.

11 months of final patch zone. 8 months of final raid. I think the beta for 9.0 lasts about a month or even 2 longer than normal to combat the communities disgust with the unfinished state of BFA launch.

Don't see all the hate on the artifact myself. It's really the ONLY leveling mechanism in the game now that leveling is just a grind to play the actual content. On top of that, our alts get an extra 15+ ilvls on a piece of gear. Oh no, help us all!

We can also make a long list of games that have features you don't like. And then realize that you don't play these games, yet you also don't ask the devs to change anything. Why is that? It's because you're not supposed to play WoW, you're supposed to quit if you don't like it. It's a game like any other so why treat it differently? Well, I like it actually. Artifact power matters enough for me to convince me to do daily quests and that's a big deal, because I don't like them. Island expeditions and fronts - not a big fan, really, but I'm doing them weekly and they are not very annoying, something different is good. Anyway that's an improvement over, say, Legion which had exactly 0 content to do outside of raids and dungeons. I have no idea who's Preach, though.

If warfronts were 200% harder in pve it'd be great. if they offered a PVP option.. even better. that's all it would need to revitalise it for me :P maybe a little less formulaic.. like letting us CHOOSE what we get up and in what order etc

You have to try to see it from all players point of view. I see island expeditions getting a lot of hate on the forums, maybe that's because they weren't made for the type of player you are. They are a huge hit with the casual players which makes up a big chunk of wows subs. So from blizzards point of view island expeditions are actually seen as a major success. Things aren't so black and white. All you see is the hate on the forums and you think how could blizzard possibly think island expeditions are worth putting more resources into. Gotta try to remember forum opinions are often a small minority, sometimes they are the voice of the majority of the players, but often not.
