UK: Putin tells May to 'fulfil will of people' on Brexit

Assad, from a Syrian Shiite people, drove all those Syrian Sunnis into Europe like cattle.

That affected the Brexit vote by a few percentage points.

In exchange, Putin gave Assad military support which saved Assad's regime.

Then the Russians launched a massive disinformation campaign about Brexit, that swayed the vote on Brexit one or two percentage points too.

Vladimir Putin has said the UK should not hold a second referendum on Brexit, insisting Theresa May must “fulfil the will of the people”.

He's idolized in Russia, so pretty much he does. Normally people stand behind a leader who stands behind their country. Similarly Hungary loves Viktor Orbán, Italy stands with Giuseppe Conte, etc.

Of course he wants that. Destabilizing Europe gives him power. For some reason, he's already come so close to convincing the masses that a fractured state is better for them.

He kills or imprisons all of his dissidents, so I have a feeling that your perception of his support by Russians is skewed.

Funny, it seems Mr. Putin has forgotten that democracy also means that multiple referendums are totally OK, and being pissed with whom you elected is also OK.
Oh, wait, he has never understood such things. xD

Misguided patriotism is a powerful tool to keep an ignorant populace subservient. Russia deserves their leadership. It just sucks for the population that live in squalor and don't have the means to escape or revolt.
