Wifi extender from cable company vs. Retail

Apologies for the late update but the mesh network the cable company has is really good. It retails for $400 for the base and two extenders. Each additional extender is $120 so it's easier to pay montly rather than the $650 upfront.

That doesn't change the fact:

Right now they are using a router from asus that has 8 attennas but it does reach everywhere.

The issue at hand is wasting money on cheap Chinese junk that you don't need.

You do realize that nearly any wireless router or access point can be a wireless extender? But if you wanted better wifi you should have gotten a Powerline Network Adapter and where ever you end up plugging the other adapter you could just stick an access point there. That would have given much better performance while also being cheaper. From my experience with using wifi extenders they don't offer good performance and have terrible latency in games.
