    You do realize that nearly any wireless router or access point can be a wireless extender? But if you wanted better wifi you should have gotten a Powerline Network Adapter and where ever you end up plugging the other adapter you could just stick an access point there. That would have given much better performance while also being cheaper. From my experience with using wifi extenders they don't offer good performance and have terrible latency in games.
