Not at all. And being a Pommy you'd be right at home. We have pretty much the same road rules, we're mostly friendly, you're unlikely to be shot (especially if you stay away from Victoria) and the beaches put yours to shame (rocks aren't beaches).

Also, another plug for WA (and SA I guess) - we have much less deadly creatures over this way. Except sharks. We have lots of sharks.

E.g. Music festivals are still plentiful in Australia, but one of them (Defqon. 1) ended up with 700 needing medical help (3 of them in critical state)...so officials were looking to ban that specific festival, not all of them.
