I am trying to let people know this.. although your build is great.. if you can hold out I would recommend to see what the first round of AMDs new chips will do in Q1 maybe Q2 this year. I think they are going to get things moving.

No...Just saying with Asus Again..and might have to take that with grain of salt hit or miss. Actually I thought the TUF series looked good and the Chokes are a nice size. But it's whatever...

Mid 2019 so the end of Q2 at the earliest. Unlikely to surpass the performance of the existing 9900k by any meaningful margin but will most likely offer better bang for the buck. Would wait if i was not in a hurry to upgrade but if i was i'd still be pretty confident with the purchase of a 9900k or even 9700k.

I play at 3440x1440@100 and i manage just fine with a GTX1080. Not ultra everything but most games are running just fine at 100fps+ without having to go to potato graphics. If you play at 60 it's not necessary to splurge on the CPU either, you could make do with much less, heck, you could even go with a ryzen CPU for no ill effect and pocket the change. If raiding performance in wow is a priority you'd still want the best per thread performance available, but still you don't have to go to 9900k to achieve that, 9700k will do just as well. It is at higher framerates when the CPU becomes increasingly important again - you can always drop the graphics to get more FPS but you'll eventually get to the point where your fps is CPU limited and graphical settings won't have an effect. This point is almost never at 60 fps though, other than with the exception of wow raiding and stuff.

If you want to go balls to the wall, you can and there's no judging, but be adviced that you are perhaps unnecessarily overpaying for the privilege of building a totl system for 60fps gaming.

Didn't know everyone had there hands on them already and had tested and the were allowed to release.

You are not going to have an issue at 60hz....

Educated guess. 8C16T SKUs are coming mid 2019 and in AMDs demonstration what was allegedly a 8C16T Zen2 running at undisclosed clocks matched 9900K at stock clocks. Would of course make sense for AMD to show off their best so it is unlikely that the demonstration used anything but the top of the line SKU running at stock clocks at the very least (133 Watts suggests either increased TDP or overclocked CPU). It's not unreasonable to expect otherwise from the information we've been given.

Idk, closer to likely that it was more of a 3600xish. They've already said there is more cores coming.

That is left undisclosed...Are we sure yet drop in 4.5-4.8ghz on X470 this year...That's is the Rumor...same IPC...The VRM can do that...their just working it out.. It is absolute different Phenomenon their doing trying to be Transistor God and Count.

And as usual trying to sell new Hardware is almost impossible...Know as well as I do People hold on to their build too long or don't care will use the garage barn find build and shit...

Entirely possible, but i doubt on the basis that it would simply be dumb for AMD to demonstrate the performance of their new CPU with a cut down model and not mention anything about it. It is also curious that the Zen2 used more power than previous models did at stock despite being a process shrink, which hints at the possibility that it could have been a overclocked unit (especially since the clocks were not disclosed). As far as i know only up to 8C16T variants are actually confirmed, certainly for mid 2019 release. Could be mistaken, haven't paid the most attention to this lately.

Regardless, it's all merely speculation at this point, but we can still make educated guesses based on what we know rather than what we hope to be true. It's promising for sure but it doesn't exactly look like it will completely revolutionize the field. Being just another iterative upgrade is fine too, especially if it can finally get close matching intel in per thread performance.

I mean, Lisa Su herself said their would be more the 8 cores, so that's not conjecture, we just don't know when. And it wouldn't make sense to show YOUR BEST if you have something that matches the competitors best, you keep some cards that way, maybe make the competitor feel comfortable.

Well they still left out a high clock 6c/12thrd variant...And that is the nudge That is realistic...but I mean you can skip that that's fine.

You don't need a second gpu with the 20180 ti and reconsider the Strix. Every single asus mobo I've owned has given me problems. Usually they last until I replace them but there are always boot problems or bios problems or memory problems or some other shit.

A separate OS drive? What is this, 2009?

Since those arent coming until June, thatd be a hell of a wait.

Sucks man...never ceases to fail lol...That was a good running pump too....I think the ek is still strong just making a ton toilet noise....

The whole system is massively overkill for the games and monitor you list. You would get zero practical performance benefit over a PC that costs half of this one.

AMD cpu are coming out this year, will be much better than 9900k (probably same core performance with 2x more core if you want it) and will be cheaper.
Your gpu is stupidly expensive unless if you game in 4k. But gaming in 4k is even more stupid so don't do it. You can only enjoy the RTX2080Ti with an ultrawide 1440p but the regular RTX2080 is also good enough.
Seems like you have a lot of money, if you're rich then your build is flawless.
