Going to be interesting who fills this void, cause that's a realllllllllllllllly attractive spot to coach with Reid and Mahomes on the offensive side.

Does Sean McVay have any defensive minded cousins or something?

Laser pointers just need to be banned at this point. If someone carries around a laser pointer, there's a 95% chance they're an asshole. The other 5% can make do without it.

Gracin is fucking thrilled. Sutton was just to old school and rigid about his play calling. He would talk about bend but don’t break, but Chiefs D would give and give and give and then the opposing offense would score. But at least it they didn’t give up a huge play, right? So not only did his D not do their job and stop the offense, but they also let them drag the drive out 7+ minutes. Which if it wasn’t obvious from Sunday, Brady and others eat that shit up.

How do you feel about Rex Ryan? Saw a tweet earlier he could get an interview.

I wouldn't wish Rex Ryan on my worst enemy.

(besides the Jets already canned him once so I doubt they;d take him back anyway even if I did wish him on them)

But seriously, Rex looked done in Buffalo. He had no ability what so ever to make the defense work with the players he had and instead tried to change them into players they weren't, just to fit his outdated scheme. It imploded in spectacular fashion. Then when he was gone, and the defense played a system more suited to them, they suddenly flourished again and made the playoffs. Funny that.

Rex should just stay in broadcasting, even if he apparently sucks at that too from what I hear.

That might be even worse than just keeping Sutton. I’m truly hoping he’s not actually being considered, and that’s just the rumor mill bullshit.

Some people are just better as position coaches or coordinators. Just because they can coach the defense does not mean they can be a successful head coach.

Of course, if you are rushing 5 and jamming all the WRs, its very hard to defend the run, which is why the Patriots run so much and open huge holes.
Not to mention, if the O-Line had zero penalties that means they had zero false starts which in an atmosphere like that, facing a defensive line like that, is incredible.

Apparently the guiness world record for whisteling with your fingers is 125 decibel. That's fucking LOUD. If that dude came close to that, then it's no wonder it was messing with the game audio. Impressive!

There were at least two occasions where they scanned the the crowd and people had whistles in their mouth. Definitely wasn't all natural. (Even if it was they should have stepped in before the end of the first quarter regardless)

I cant account for what you claim to have seen, but there is a guy by the name as whistle monsta and isnt new to Saints home games.

Yo are we watching the Pro Bowl or whatever this Sunday? Or are we coasting and just waiting for random news until Super Bowl night?

There's not just the Pro Bowl but a skills competition too. It;s like the All Star Week-end in the NBA. And about as intense when it comes to the actual game. (i.e. yawn inducing)

I might pop it on if I'm awake, but I'm not going to break my sleep schedule over it.

There's a guy who I follow on Twitch who livestreams on Sunday. This weekend is the first time I'll watch him since August. It'll be a good one too, a full RE2 Remake playthrough.

Obviously a missed call but you had plenty of chances to put the game away, or stop the Rams from kicking 2 FGs.

That's okay. At least we won a Super Bowl. You guys can hang on to that epic collapse. Also, unlike the Falcons my Saints will be back in the playoff hunt next year. I'll take those 2 horrible endings to a season over getting 'largest comeback ever in the Super Bowl' collapse moniker that will hang over you.

Last year we lost on a freak miracle play with a questionable defensive alignment, that sucked big time but we let them stay in the game before that. This year the game should have basically been over once we'd have a first down and goal with the ability to drain the clock to ~10 seconds. The general population of NFL fans will know that the Refs decided that game and that is it.

The Falcons on the other hand? They choked away a Super Bowl. Good god that was great to watch. Thanks Falcons for keeping that game interesting.

The lawsuit stuff is silly, if anything the only change that should come of this is that calls like that should be reviewable. One team got robbed and the other benefited with a new lease on life. The Saints did have chances to ice the game after the fact but it was a gut punch for sure. Like I said the Rams are basically on a freeroll now, they didn't really win the game they were gifted the game and have nothing to lose in the Super Bowl.
