    But the game is playable and fun now?

    There are issues, some excusable, some not, but its not unplayable by any means.

    Because if you can't keep your bias out of the title like that, it's not worth watching. I'm not going to give clickbait titles the the time of day

    I am guessing you haven't played the game. There are bugs, but what do you mean by cash shop? There's barely anything in it! I am actually disappointed in how little shit i can spend money on. And i've made about 80 000 coins (a full set costs 61 000 coins) since it released last friday. So i have no idea what you're talking about to be honest.

    Having played all three of these: Destiny, Warframe and now Anthem...

    I have uninstalled Destiny 2
    I will continue to play Warframe, but I'm at Fashionframe level there so...
    I will definitely play Anthem, it is a hybrid between the two, and once I got my hands on Interceptor I figured it plays similar to my favorite frame Valkyr, the ultimate is mostly the same, plus it's the fastest one, tripple jumper with unlimited melee, and DAT ASS

    Anthem does have its problems though, namely frostbyte engine glitches and loading times (on NVMe - can you imagine that?), horrible UX, slow 1st person city with no fast travel via menus (like in Warframe), forcing matchmaking in freeplay, dialog skip by ESC (SPACE motherfuckers, remember that key, Bioware?)
    All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side

    How is the gear and gameplay depth in this game? Would appreciate some open opinions on your personal feeling of its depth and end-game grind potentials

    Biased how exactly? What exactly is biased about "Anthem Review - Bioware made the wrong game and made it badly" when he has played through the whole campaign and gives reasonable criticism AND PRAISE during his review. He doesn't even criticize the endgame during the review because he hasn't played it enough to justify reviewing it. Just because you might not like the title for whatever reason doesn't suddenly make him biased towards anything.

    The end game grind potential is literally endless, depending on how perfect you want your character to be. For instance, you get 4 stat rolls on every masterwork and legendary, these are random. And they can be everything from % ammo increase to % weapon dmg increase, you can also get the same 4 stats on them. So you can potentially get 4x 250% weapon dmg increase, you see where i'm going with this? Tons of masterwork/legendary items and you can get really fucking lucky with these. Not to mention that you probably want certain sets depending on what group you run with (shield breakers, armor breakers or primer/detonator specialist).

    Just to point out, you don't have to use the matchmaking in free play you can choose to go solo, just need to remember to select the option in the mission launch screen when you're selecting the difficulty and whatnot.

    His title is clickbait because of how it's phrased.

    I dont understand why people insist on comparing Destiny 2 with this game. It's nothing like Destiny. They are both about killing and looting, but the gameplay is nothing alike except both have weapons.

    But what do you use that end game gear for? That's a big mystery for me considering this game.

    Bias isn't necessarily the right word, but the title has his opinion of the game right there. It's an informed opinion apparently, but it's still an opinion. It might be a good review, but I certainly wouldn't click on that video either given the title. I want information, facts, pros and cons and a title like that honestly just makes it look like it's just going to be a 40 minute rant about why the game is bad...I mean that's what the title of the video is.

    I don't have enough time to myself in a day to want to spend 40 minutes listening to a video that may or may not give me the information I'm looking for, and a title like that just makes it look like clickbaity sensationalist nonsense alongside the dozens of other videos out there.

    Other than the all caps in the thumbnail i seriously do not understand what's wrong with "Bioware made the wrong game and made it badly". Maybe a bit too absolute for my tastes, but eh.

    Yeah that makes way more sense and yh fair enough.

    The bolded is an issue for me. If they want to be critical of the game that's totally fine, but saying they made the "wrong game" is pretty ridiculous. I'll try to give it a listen later, but the headline of the video is pretty sensational.

    Given ME multiplayer Anthem really isn't even that far a leap for BioWare.

    This is actually a bit annoying but the world is large you can just do your own thing. Most of the time you really don't notice the other three. Sometimes you come across paths and kill stuff together, do an event together but I found having three others there wasn't as a big a deal as I thought it would be.

  16. #3236
    First events will start showing up starting today.

    Today -> Saturday
    Outlaw Outrage
    You'll see an increase in Outlaw activity in freeplay as well as a new named Outlaw who has to be stopped.

    Saturday -> ??
    There Be Giants
    Massive Titans roaming the planet

    They could easily do things like have special movesets for event mobs and extra unique drops... If these are on a 3 day rotation that would spice things up quite a bit.

    Unless they changed it from the demo (which I don't think they did as I've seen other people on this forum and in a few videos I've watched commenting about it), you can do freeplay completely solo, you just have to make sure to select that option when launching the mission. Matchmaking is the default, but you can change it.

    Oh, never really tried that. I thought that Freeplay always grouped you with three others. I've noticed it doesn't bother me much though. Just did 30min of freeplay and had a blast. Did some events solo and some with another javelin who showed up.

    Nope, in the Demo the game would tell you that you can't do Freeplay in Private and set it to Public.
    But as others have said, its no big deal since its a pretty big area and you just go do your own thing.
    It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

    Here's a less hyperbolically titled video.
