"As such, Dark Phoenix will be the last X-Men movie with this current cast of heroes" That's... like... not cool at all.

I still want a origional X-Men line up movie, Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman and Angel... although there's a lot of white in that line up, so either this wont happen or someone is going to be blacked up...

For diversities sake they need to start with Giant Size X-Men. Maybe skip the origins and start the Giant Size X-Men storyline

You got Storm (African), Sunfire (Japanese), Wolverine (Canadian), Banshee (Irish), Colossus (Russian), Thunderbird (Native American), Nighcralwer (German), throw in Professor X and you got a progressive wet dream. And I for one wouldn't be against it either. It's one of my favourite X-Men rosters too.

Well X-Men: Apocalypse was trash, this next one doesn't look much better, so I'm all for a reboot at this point with the hope we'll get a real version of Marvel's X-Men instead of Bryan Singer's.

I kinda hope they keep Michael Fassbender. One of the few that rang well as Mags.

    THANK YOU.

Fox put out two, maybe 3 good movies with the licenses they had. Everything else was a steaming pile of hot garbage. A reboot is NEEDED for gods sake.

About time. The only X-Men I liked was Logan and the characters that showed up in deadpool like colossus and cable.

Yeah sure, the true fan actually understand the message behind the X-men.

Hint : it's not your pathetic alt-right fake outrage at everything...

The only one I will miss is Jackman as Wolverine. I think that will be a difficult re-cast for Disney considering how iconic he's become to the franchise.

I really hope they explore other mutants that Fox more or less ignored. Gambit, adult Rogue, being the main ones.

I've had just about enough X-Men for now. They were never a terrible exciting franchise to me in the first place, and despite the obviously brilliant castings of Prof. X, Wolverine, and Magneto (both young and old) they alone are not enough to make up for the horribly tacky and cliche rest of it.

Do we really want to go through all the origin stories and various degrees of individual angst a THIRD time?

    Give it a rest.

The Colossus in the Deadpool movies looks like it's ripped right out from the comics. I love it

Looks like everyone (save Ryan Reynolds) is getting kicked from X-men. Not sure if this is so they can retool the powers of the X-men to but fit inside the exsisting MCU or if they just want fresh faces all around. Kinda disappointed though, even though the movies were for the most part only OK, I really liked most of the younger X-men cast, especially the Quicksilver character who may or may not end up being dead now.
I say good riddance. i agree, the only good part of the younger cast was Quicksilver. considering the worst MCU movie is better than the best fox men movie (leaving side stories like Logan and deadpool aside), i cant wait to see x-men finally brought into the fold, though itll be a shame to see them come in at the same time that much of the avengers are leaving.. but maybe thats the plan. the first major MCU arch was avengers, maybe the second will be X-men, and hopefully they can make it as consistently excellent as the avengers chapter has been.

From all the reports I'm hearing, Dark Phoenix is a shitstorm and the actors don't sound happy with it.

i'll just throw this out there: Jackman was NEVER a good wolverine. if you think he was, you never read the comics, especially the ones before jackman was cast.

its getting awful feedback from screenings, too. its going to be a complete shitshow. at this point i dont even think they should bother releasing it. marvel is going to completely throw out the entire fox canon, so its pointless, and its going to lose money.

Looking it up, Colossus in Ultimate X-Men was gay. From marvel.com: "fter a childhood described as violent and miserable, Rasputin discovered his mutant powers and began earning money by performing feats of super-strength for tourists. He also realized that he was gay."
Also, this wikipedia page goes a bit more in-depth about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altern...ltimate_Marvel (also mentions they made Nightcrawler a homophobe)
But Ultimate is not the 616 aka the main universe, and there he was in a relationship with Kitty if i remember that right.

i wouldnt be surprised if they kept making deadpool movies more or less the way they have, but under a different studio, keeping disney's name off of it.

The only one that I really liked and can remember well is First Class.

Days of Futures Past was a straight up costume and prop expo, I don't remember the characters they added having ANY character story, build up, background or anything whatsoever. Bishop is kinda just there, same with Psylocke and Psylocke has had a different actress like every single appearance and the movie was just confusing and bad and Ellen Paige is blah.

The rest I was basically a kid when I enjoyed them, they don't hold up well, the dialogue doesn't hold up.

Wolverine and Origins both kill themselves with their comically bad, end villain fights and plots. They're soooooooo bad. Aquaman and Black Panther have that same trope: 2 buff dudes in tight armor have a flamboyant duel at the end for their honor?

Apocalypse is decent, but I'm tired of Jennifer Lawrence and the resting "im confused" face.

This full reboot is actually good news for me!

Jackman was the best casting we'd had at the time. This was pre-MCU, remember. Best casting aside from perhaps Stewart and McKellen, at least.

That said, he WAS best-known at the time for romantic comedies and dance numbers. So I'm open to someone new.

Black Nick Fury was in the Ultimate Universe too, and Marvel used him instead of the original white Nick Fury... the MCU seems to be boprrowing from all universes for some reason, for it in turn is it's own universe... :P
