does it really make a difference though? won't another bunch just take their place under a different name? and won't the surviving children grow up to hate the west no matter the name of their organization? and why aren't we doing stuff about equally bad stuff going on in other places of the world if it's all about the ethics and morals if it? are we doing it just for the ethics/morals of it or are they actually a threat to us, and if so how?
if the military/government could do a better job answering that kind of question i think a lot of people would be more willing to join up.

Regarding the SAS and the UK army since that is what this thread is about, they are world wide. They were in Northern Ireland during The Troubles to help maintain order against various terrorist organisations. Literally their own country. Is that western enough?
Even the US army got involved.
I remember as a child, soldiers walking around with rifles. Something you would see in countries like Cuba. Even now, our police officers walk around with SMGs, assault rifles or dogs.
The sas are bad and I don't care that the people they're killing are bad too. Fuck the British Army.
I was simply correcting his patently false statement about a 350m range of the grenade launcher. Whether it is or is not the "front line" is inconsequential to the fact that the person I was replying to was obviously talking without having actually read the article properly.
