Get rid of buff/debuff icon in Shadowed Unit Frames?

Hi!

Been fiddling around for hours and I'm basically done, except for this one issue that I can't for the life of me figure out how to get rid of - can anyone help me?

Apparently I can't post links cause my account is new - fair enough.

The issue:
When I use a damage cooldown I get a big icon next to my unit frame. Same goes for when applying certain debuffs to a target(A Murder of Crows for example). Is there a way to get rid of this? I'd much rather track these sorts of things with TMW or Weak Auras and keep Shadowed Unit Frames for just that, unit frames.
