I was thinking that at the end of BFA it was just going to have Thrall snap awake from a dream and suddenly the game is back to pre-Cata world and the game continues forward from that point. Cata to now were just some sort of DMT induced nightmare he had.

God, if this could only be true... That would explain perfectly the time travelling shenanigans of WoD, us actually defeating the Legion in its own home turf (megalol) and the sudden disappearance of our nifty Class Halls. Now, all those Pandas and DHs running around would be a lot harder to explain, but still...
