Sweden to map individuals expressing contempt for politicians

    http://uu.diva-portal.org/smash/reco...874&dswid=9821

Politicians, journalists and public figures are often exposed to hate speech in various digital environments, especially in different discussion forums and in comment fields. Detecting hate automatically is a difficult task since hate can be expressed in many different ways. In this paper we have developed a method to measure hate directed at politicians using a combination of natural language processing and automated reasoning Our method is adapted to work on Swedish, although in general it is language independent. We have tested our method in a study where we analyze hate directed at six Swedish politicians. The results shows that our method has a fairly high precision but a low recall compared to a manual assessment.

What are you on about? Did you even read what you posted? It's a scientific article (DiVA is a scientific paper database), nowhere does it say they're using it or even planning too.

Sure, they're just developing it to not use it.

What? I don't understand what's that is supposed to be discussed here.
However given your signature, are you trying to twist something into EU is a police state or something?

This would make a good sci fi story. A privileged class of elites that control the general population by strict enforcement of thought crime via a hyper intelligent AI that scans everyone words, actions, deeds, facial expressions, fecal matter, urine, buying habits, friends and tattoo choices. Cast Matt Damon as the hero who has strange poops and gets in trouble for it.
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.

Yes? If you read where it's from. It's from a information security conference in Florida in November 2018. Your thread title is misleading.

Ah yes of course Sweden will apply this to hunt political dissent.
Since, you know, this is little more than a data-science research project by a team of three people at Uppsala University.
But please tell me more about how Sweden, as in the government, police force, media and so on, will apply this to average cititzens.

Stop willfully spreading misinformation. Then again, it's fairly obvious what your goal is.

"They" as in scientists. Do you even know how science works? There's incredibly many papers being written on the subject, the vast majority never lead to any real world application. To put "Sweden to map individuals.." in the title is simply false.

Trying to get Europoors to understand that Hate Speech is an ethereal and insubstantial concept is like trying to get a theist to prove something in the Bible without referencing the Bible.

It's like trying to get an islamo-fascist to admit they worship an invisible wizard whose image is forbidden because he was a black man who diddled kiddles.

This world is going to shit in a handbasket.

I can’t see this being used for anything good. This is why privacy online is so important.

That seems really abusable by corrupt politicians looking to silence dissidence.

...The title in no way or shape relates to the paper...

Your post is bad and you should feel bad.

    bad!
    But now the biggest part,
    is all about the image
    and not the art

Is this a conspiracy theory? Because it sure smells like one.

    journalists exposed to hate speech?

"journalists" often lie and create fake news and fake outrage and the media basically encourages an US vs them scenario to create more buzz, is this not hate speech? they are creating hate but the average person cannot show them any hate? seems legit.

Also politicians are often out of touch full of shit and only do things that benefits their own wealth.

I thought about explaining this, but if the person posts a conference abstract and portrait it as something that is happening it's too much work. Academia and research overall is about exploring the possible and test boundaries.
