What about preparation?? I am not sure what you are trying to say here.
The common excuse given is that France wasn't prepared for the Blitzkreig. I just really don't think it would have mattered, since Germany had the superior force with better equipment.

I should apologize ? You were disrespectful. Najnaj called you out for it and you deflected. We all know what you were joking about, don't play stupid.

Not going to waste my time with you.

Nah, you're wrong. I was commenting on how the story is meaningless since troops are always moving around in the EU and NATO.

You went off half-cocked, made a fool of yourself, and now are both too bone-headed and too gutless to man up and admit you were wrong. Run along then. I've never made such jokes about France. In fact, I've pointed out their military history in the past as well. But it was a good bit longer than 59 posts ago.

It's funny, because it seems that the French decided to collectively pussy out after the revolution and Napoleonic Wars.

The instances where the French bent over backwards to appease others are more recent than some wars that occurred a few centuries ago.

    It's economy.

Military defence is just posturing. Plenty of countries can defect from actual defence - Article 5 isn't automatic "declare war".

Will put the USA in a real tough spot if that happens.
It is possible that US would cut their losses there rather then do real conflict with potential for escalation. Hard to predict exactly though.

I don't think Russia will attack Estonia though.
Yep, highly unlikely - which is why such posturing is relatively safe.

Though the current PM that party decided to elect isn't too bad, better than the PM who the party decided to elect before they decided to get rid of him. Who replaced the PM that the people actually voted for, who ran against a person that the party decided to replace the last PM. Who replaced the person who was voted by the people but also replaced her afterwards by their party.
If that isn't a confusing enough joke of a democracy then I dunno what is.
Unfortunately this is the problem with Australia and our revolving door Prime Minsters, who would be lucky to serve a full term of which there have been none in the last 10 years or so.. Rudd started the trend who then got backstabbed and replaced with Gillard who then go replaced with Rudd again.. Then we had Abbott who was ousted by Turnbull who then got ousted and replaced by Morrison.. Pretty much Australia is a joke that is for sure..

We don't elect our Prime Ministers, they aren't Presidents. We vote for parties, and they select their leaders. The party can replace them at any time.

If anything we should be putting less emphasis on the executive and more on the actual policies. We don't want to end up with an idiotic cult of personality around the leader like the US has.

Sure our PMs have been a bunch of fuckwits, but let's blame them for their policies, not the theater of pointless leadership battles.

True it would be nice but it will probably never happen.. And I do know this much the election in May is going to be a pita since both major parties are as useless as each other, so I am not voting for either..

In case of war, Russia would just go around the French line from the side. It has worked twice in the past.

Whatever you say, but do go learn history. Not the one pushed by Putin's Russia.

Seeing messages that coup failed, and many major figures that were supposed to support Guaido switched back to Maduro.

So, might be the last day we're seeing Guaido too.
