Patch 8.2 PTR - Nazjatar Zone Early Preview

    Patch 8.2 PTR - Build 30262

Patch 8.2 PTR - Nazjatar Zone Early Preview
The zone of Nazjatar is now up and available for early testing on the PTR. As of now, a placeholder NPC will teleport you to your faction's base within the zone and a few quests are available to test along with the zone itself. Here is an early look!

Looks like Azsuna at night? I guess it was too hard to come up with an original art direction.

Indeed. If only there was some kind of JS library to show a collection of images in a large popup. Hmm [sarcasm off]

Did they have something against using bright colors? Goddam.. art department was like the last reliable place left in blizzard and based on the latest armor models and this BS, its down the drain as well.

Edit: Also, this is the kingdom that Azshara was boasting about and living in for the last 10,000 years? Seriously? How long was Nzoth blocking that infrastructure bill for?

Spent some time exploring it this morning, doesnt look that pleasing on the eyes more dark and dismal nothing much of interest

Looks allot like parts of Azsuna on the broken isle just with a purple/blue/dark tint. The water effect around the zone looks awful also.

It’s pretty much what you’d expect for a city that crumbled into the ocean as well as one built at the same time as other Night Elf cities. Dark and dismal also fits as it’s under the ocean and a villainous city and not the heroic majestic city you get from the typical good guy/girl style.
It’s also fitting for the Naga as nothing has ever demonstrated they abide in fully completed structures. Even their invasion areas just have fence style barricades and 4 pole gazebo like tents for their leaders of that assault. They have no predators except land walkers and have never needed defensible buildings.
That said, I feel they could have twisted it more. Showed more of an old god touch or even some defacement commanded by Azshara herself, warping the appearance of the rubble a bit. Even the statue of Azshara itself could have had more impact by showing it a crumbled heap on the ground with a newer statue of her as the Naga in its place.

It looks like how it should look like. What you expected, Whimsydale from Diablo 3?

Its only one zone also? And not that big tbh. Argus was 3. At least its bigger than The broken shore lol

Who would've have thought that a city that has been submerged for thousands of years would look like a waterlogged ruin? There is nothing that indicates that the Naga would live in otherwordly splendor, well besides Azshara but she is vain as fuck so obviously she needs a pretty place to call home.

What a dreadful looking zone. Seriously is this what the art team are capable of these days? Those screenshots are absolutely depressing to look at.

And as for the zone itself. To say they said it's in an "advanced" state well if that's what they consider advanced then this patch isn't going to save BFA.

Nazjatar is BfA's equivalent to the Broken Shore, not Argus. That should come in 8.3.
