I wish they'd take the night elves out of the alliance - but leave the players there

It always seems to be the alliance (humans mainly) dealing with NPC night elves in night elf zones like the broken isle ones and Naz'jatar, it's like the alliance night elves are not really alliance or viewed that way by the devs.

So, why are they even there? WE all agree night elves would be much better outside anyway, take the night elves out, leave a small faction of youngsters of which the player is a part off. Led by an equally young night elf like Thisalee Crow or something and call it a day.

Then they can stop being butchered and inconsistent, and now perhaps better reflect how they originally are in the lore, rather than cut down out of some faction bias in the hearts of the devs.

Yes I strongly suspect the weak and abysmal showing of the MAIN (also the playable) night elf group in Naz'jatar, and the Broken Isles throughout legion is because of the factions and possible faction bias. They either are so afraid of it leaning alliance if the alliance kaldorei are involved, so they cut them out, but have no problem using Khadgar for neutral stuff, and Jaina for alliance stuff even in night elf lands. If shows, they'd rather use a human and human troops for alliance rather than night elves and night elf ones. I remember we were annoyed when they couldn't use night elves for WotA trilogy and had to concoct some b/s to have a human and orc travel to the past, effectively ruining what could have been a far more exciting story.

So if we take Tyrande/Malfurion and the famous night elves we followed through War of the Ancients and Warcraft trilogy - out of the alliance - maybe we might get much better story consistency.

The player night elf is part of a small faction of youngsters that remained, allowing you to be able to still play on the alliance. THe night elves then become a neutral group and can now properly be involved with night elf stuff.

That would relegate the nightelves to be akin to the various npc nations that no one cares, if they get slaughtered en masse. (Black Rock orcs, Centaurs). Being in the Alliance is the not key factor for the Nightelves are taking a beating each time Horde feels the need to find it's identity.

I would be happy,if the night elves could leave the Alliance - we've seen enough of it's current, good for nothing leadership, that isn't capable to carry out a single mission they plan.

At this point Karumayu, they are terrible, nothing at all like the group we met in WC3 or in WotA, in terms of relevance, influence, capability etc - they already play little to no role, they're already ignored, and are already butchered and killed in genocides, and this is with them being in the faction.

What we haven't seen is any sign of them being relevant or important or influential even in a small role, like their lore suggests, and if being in the alliance prevents this because of institutional horde or human bias or some resource limitation they are not prepared to invest in properly to portray their story properly for an actual faction that actually has such important and vibrant races in it playing a role,.. then surely they should try something different to preserve what little they have left.

Night elves and Forsaken were honestly never a great fit for their respective factions, but were shoehorned in for obvious gameplay reasons.

If you could go back in time, a four-faction setup would have been more logical. Something like Alliance [human, dwarf, gnome], Horde [orc, troll, goblin], Cenarion Circle [night elf, tauren, draenei?], Forsaken [undead, blood elf, worgen] would have fit together thematically and geographically.
